Thank you .... this is the best truck tent review I've watched outta 23 videos ... real time, real life ... I'm buying one 🙏✌️

Yikes. I ordered the tent and mattress before watching this video. I hope the mattress issue was resolved by the company. Your wife is a wonderful person to still enjoy the camping/fishing excursion and put up with the inconveniences!

Thank you for this very interesting and informative video. Beautiful Fall colors and amazing lake - sorry about the air mattress. I live in Southern California and was born in Michigan seventy years ago. Peace to you and your lady - take care brother.

Enjoyed the video. Just purchased a Napier myself. An instruction I received with my air mattress (different brand) said that the first time you inflate them, the material stretches, which gives the illusion that there's a leak, but to continue inflating them for a few days prior to use. By then the material will have finished stretching, and should hold its air better. Keep on camping! :)

Even a bad day of camping is a good day referring to the mattress. Storms or not, it’s better than living in a big city. Love the disco lights setup everywhere ☺️

Nice job on the long vid. Your lady is a trooper! Was about to buy this Napier and your week long rain convinced me lol ! You should edit your title for Napier so more people can search and find it. Again great camping vid and beautiful setting.
@cabinlife45514 жыл бұрын
How do you think I should have the title to get more searches
@msnormand4 жыл бұрын
I think it’s spelled Napier? That’s what I was searching for. Again not being picky but you have an excellent video regaining lots of rain over many days. Great testament to no leaks! Sold me for sure!

Good looking truck! I just picked up a green 15 z71 Chevrolet, did a small lift on 34.5 inch tires, scored a Napier tent yesterday. Ready to use it, love the video!

I think of our trip we took to the up of Michigan often, A quiet little Lake in the middle of nowhere. Itwas a good place to relax and enjoy nature. I hope you have many good trips in your new truck in tent keep on camping

Your lady did a great job......!! and you held the camera nicely, too..! LOL! FRANKLY, I was interested as to how well the air mattress worked, as it appears that quality control is a crap shoot..
@cabinlife45514 жыл бұрын
The air mattress worked really good When the mattress stayed up, There was enough room for 2 people to sleep comfortable, We scent the air mattress into the company and as of now we have not heard any Thing Back , But they said they would fix it
@pjf79434 жыл бұрын
@@cabinlife4551 It was interesting to see how you filled it every night, hoping it would hold air throughout the night, as if the leak would magically repair itself.. LOL! boob toob content providers, ya' don't have to luv 'em..!! LOL!

@cabinlife4551, did you get condensation? I have the same tent and got pretty gnarly condensation in Acadia National Park. It’s to be expected when you’re locked in from 4 days of heavy rain. Finally solved the problem with a large tarp over, allowing me to open all panels for ventilation.
@cabinlife4551 Жыл бұрын
Yes we got condensation in the tent We stayed and fished for a week everyday We would open up the door and all the flaps to help dry out things out I checked out where Arcadia National Park is in Maine looks like a awesome place We were in the West End of up of Michigan We had a great time and the color was beautiful .. Happy camping

That looks like a great tent. I have that Coleman Insta-tent and an awning. I am trying to get a good setup for my wife to go with me without having to buy a camper. I have never had good luck with air mattresses due to my size, but maybe I can find an alternative to that. I see that this was 3 years ago and I would like to hear if you are still using this setup? Thanks for the video!

Thats a pretty amazing tent considering it rained most of the time you were camping! Did you put waterproof spray on prior to setting it up? Im looking at buying one. Thanks for sharing! 👌🏻
@cabinlife45514 ай бұрын
We had the tent all set up for a day or 2 before I figure it out I should have sprayed water proof Spray On the Tent So it was not treated On This trip My mistake but the tent did not leak at all It is a really nice tent When we got back home We sent the mattress into the company and they sent us a new mattress

I’ve looked it up. Napier has 2 prices, basically $180 and $300. I’m debating in between getting one of these vs the Kodiak one which is $500 but way thicker material (I guess it’d last longer?)
@RossPotts Жыл бұрын
Did you maybe find the Canadian site? I’m serious. When I got mine, I was on the Canadian site, saw they had a special, and was happy I would save like $75, only to find out the sale was for Canadian post. Ah well, decent tent for the price anyway.

Looks awesome! Good review on the tent looks like you really put it to the test! I am about to go exploring with my wife and looking at overnight lows of -5c to +5c so right around 30f. Gonna buy a buddy heater as well. Did you run yours all night? Or just to warm up before bed? Thanks!

I haven't noticed any scratches in my truck where the straps rub! If you are worried about getting scratches you could put a soft cloth in between the truck and the strap to help.

When you went for a drive, I’m assuming you removed the tent from the truck. Was that much of a chore?
@cabinlife45514 жыл бұрын
When we went for a drive We took the ⛺ off the truck it only took 10 or 15 minutes, There is 3 straps on each side off the truck That we unhooked, 3 on a tailgate And then we pick the tent of the truck and set it on the ground and off we went
@vincentrusbuldt72073 жыл бұрын
I have one of these tents and love it!!! Mine has a roll out awning with 2 poles instead of this style. A little catalytic heater will make it cozy in freezing temps! I use a cot to get higher in the tent. I left everything in the tent and actually found you can drive up to about 30mph with it in the bed! It slid a bit and I don’t recommend it but anymore I just drop the 4 poles (2 diag, 1 mid, 1 opening), put a weighted tarp over it, pull the mid side straps at the tires and tuck them, make sure the taillights are uncovered, and away you go. Resets back up in 5 minutes. A pop up canopy over the back of the truck helps a ton with the rain noise.
