We did this excursion in 2006 for our honeymoon while on the Millenium. I can't believe they still do it! Fun memories.

Thanks Zach, glad I found your videos. Celebrity has become my wife's and I niche. We are booked for next May on the Connie, Best of Italy and Croatia. Amalfi coast is our last port stop before ending near Rome. I am excited now to visit Pompeii and hopefully Sorrento as well. Hope you will be doing more videos of your Italy cruise. We will be new to European cruises so these videos are incredibly helpful.

Zach, that was a great video. We did that tour last in May, 2022 when sailing the Reflection and we absolutely loved it. We didn't encounter as much traffic as you did, but we did it on a Saturday. We are going on the Beyond later this month with another couple (their first time to Europe) and we are doing that tour again!

How serendipitous, I'm visiting Naples on the Celebrity Constellation in August and this excursion is available! My booked shore excursion just visits Pompeii since I want to take the afternoon in Naples and hopefully sample the pizza. 😋 Since you brought it up, the current price (on my cruise, at least) for the "Small Group" version of the excursion is $300 per person (pre-cruise discount: $240) while the "Destination Highlight" version is $203 per person (pre-cruise discount: $172). Quite the increase; would you say the experience you had would be worth that rate?

Wow that is quite the increase. If you’ve never been before and want to see Sorrento I’d say go for it. If you just want to see Pompei then I’d find something else for cheaper. I wouldn’t do this excursion again.
