Absolutely insane just how short the trains on line 6 are, and how infrequent they are Hopefully the new trains can be delivered and put into service soon, and the existing trains can be coupled up to get them to a reasonable length for a metro

The new Line 1 trains are a MAJOR upgrade over what they had before. Looking much nicer and much more modern.

Why is the naples metro confusing? There are 3 lines but the numbers don't correspond. Line 1, Line 6, and Line 11.

It’s because Napoli’s metropolitan railway system doesn’t include just traditional metros (like Lines 1, 6 and 11), but also some suburban railways, like Line 2 (a urban railway linking the line from Rome to the one to Salerno, built in order to avoid reversing at Napoli’s central station), Lines 4 and 5 (Cumana and Circumflegrea railways). Line 7 is under construction, while for Line 10 there’s a project.

Impossibly empty. I rode Naples Metro and Circumvesuviana for several days. Always HEAVY ridership day and night. What day was this filmed on?

EAV is part of the transport system not the metro system. This video is about the metro system as defined by the International Association of public transport which explicitly excludes suburban railways (having level crossing as a mode of transportation. It's not about being from somewhere or not. Definitions are clear. It's not because a city naming its bus system "metro" that it becomes a metro, and the same does apply with having an incoherent numbering system. And actually according to this definition Line 6 as per current operation should not either be considered as a metro but I just assumed they will actually receive the new trains and that the current inefficient operation will be solved. If you wish to have more information regarding what's a metro and what's not, you may search the web, there's plenty of resources out there.
