Jim, you are a genius ... I have the same fireplace and I have exactly the noise you describe since day one. I have had the service people come out a few times and they can never fix or explain the noise ... just continues and it is getting worse ... i will need to call them again and show them this teaching video ...

Wow I cant believe that. Over the past year it got horrible. Today I called and got a gasket and decided to give it a shot !

We love this gas stove. Our home is electric baseboard heat..no furnace. This gas fireplace is in our basement and it essentially heats the house in winter. I believe its somewhere around 64k btu. No regrets with this stove at all
