Great video! I just ordered a blower fan from you! It will be a warmer winter for us!

I'm so glad I purchased this blower. It literally took me less then 5 minutes to install. The unit came pre wired so all I had to do was put it in the back of the fire box, plug it in, turn it on and wait til it reached 120 degrees. That was it. So easy! Thanks guys! I will recommend you and your product to everyone I know🙂🙂

The video is much more clear how it mounts than just like Amazon listing. Thanks. I have a double sided fireplace but I'm going upstairs now to see if this will work. You are getting a lot of airflow, I guess sealing off the lower with aluminum tape would be overkill with that sort of flow.

Thanks. I wired everything correctly but had the speed switch all the way clockwise which was lowest speed and I thought it’s the highest speed. So here I thought I messed up while connecting the wires, it was on the whole time at lowest speed. Your video helped me find out the once you turn on the speed switch after click, that’s the highest speed and not the lowest.

How does the RC300 remote able to change fan speeds? We moved into home with gas fireplace without a remote. The fire place has this fan kit installed and there is an available remote RC 300 on the market to operate the unit which I would like to buy. However I can’t see from the current wiring or understand how the remote will control the fan speed with the setup I currently have a Dexen Industries GM8K1-50 PN 2166-307 with a 4021-708 fan control.

How long does it usually take for the thermostat to hit 120 degrees? I bypassed the thermostat to check to see if the blower works, it does. I let the fireplace go for a while and it doesn't seem to kick on?

Can I get longer leads to the variable speed control knob and run it through an access hole that's in the fireplace insert to a cabinet on the other side where I can easily access it? The The screen and frame are pretty heavy and a pain to take off every time to access the variable speed knob. Also is there another kit where we could just set a temperature and the fan would ramp up or down depending on the temp?

Well these work in any natural gas fireplace where it fits? My gas fireplace doesn’t have a fan, but I think this would really help generate heat into the room.

Sure, so long as your NAT fireplace is what's considered a circulating model (louvered, vented, or hooded) lower and top panels and provided you have adequate mounting space below the fireplace. If you send us an email at support@fireplaceblowersonline.com with your make and model, I can let you know specifically what you'll need. Cheers, Jason

Is it possible to install a more powerful fan than this one. My current one rattles like crazy and we want to replace it and I'm thinking a more powerful one would be a better option. Thoughts?

Space is typically a deciding factor on whether we can get a larger blower installed. Larger doesn't always mean better, so feel free to call us directly at 262-989-4882 and we'll be happy to help!

I need help with the instructions. "Pre-wired" but the illustrations and enclosed instructions contradict each other. Our system arrived with a diagram showing a white wire connected to the heat sensor but both wires (prewired) are black. There is a white wire but it is only connected to the speed control and loose on the other end. It is quite confusing since the schematics themselves are apparently mislabeled.

Please help me,is this a universal blower? My blower on my zero-clearance fireplace doesn’t have enough CFM.

Hey Danny, great question. It certainly can be used as a universal blower, provided you have enough clearance below the fireplace. If you have any questions, give us a ring at 262-989-4882 or shoot me an email at support@fireplaceblowersonline.com Regards, Jason

My fire place has an on off switch for the blower so I'd like to bypass the thermostat. How do bypass?
@fireplaceblowers7 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply on this one, but the sensor can be bypassed by disconnecting the two wire leads that go into the the thermostat and connecting them together. We typically create a Male to Male jumper to lead to make the transition easier. Regards, Jason

can this unit be installed with a gel fuel fireplace ?
@fireplaceblowers8 жыл бұрын
+jim murray Really depends on what make and model fireplace you have and how much space you have for mounting the blower. Not all fireplaces are considered "circulating" and will accept blowers. Feel free to give us a call directly and we can certainly help you determine that.
@AustinKellyX8 жыл бұрын
If my fireplace never seems to come on do you recommend trying to put the sensor on the side closer to the flame pattern in the fireplace?
@fireplaceblowers8 жыл бұрын
+Austin Kelly You may need to experiment with the positioning of the sensor to find the optimal location. Try and locate the hottest location, but of course, be careful while doing do. Closer to the flame doesn't always mean it's hotter, but it's a good place to begin.
@fireplaceblowers11 жыл бұрын
The "A" simply refers to "automatic", which means that a thermostat is option is included with the blower kit. Our GFK-160 includes the thermostat, so it's essentially the same thing as the GFK-160A. Any questions, give us a call at 262-989-4882.

Hey Todd, give us a call directly at 262-989-4882 and we'll be happy to answer any questions you have. The kit comes entirely pre-wired and assembled, so there's not much wiring you actually need to do. You really just position the blower, place the thermostat sensor, position the rheostat control and then plug the blower in.
