Who needs financial stability when you can have titanium?! First shot at welding titanium, and actually my first shot at making a whole exhaust from the header back. A bit scared of how loud this might be, but we'll just have to wait to find out.

Something I picked up from watching a bunch of exhaust fab, and makes complete and total sense once you pause for a second and think before you start mocking...."always start from the rear and work your way forward, that way visibly, everything is perfect, and you always can perfectly end up where you need to go" (if you already have a header/manifold that is to end at). Another thing I learned, the closer the muffler is to the exit, the richer the sound, AKA, the more the muffler will affect the sound signature... especially beneficial when building rotary exhaust if you don't want the end result to be tinny and raspy.

Stefan, really appreciate all the work you have put in to this video (it must take twice as long to weld and film at the same time!). There is something very satisfying watching you develop your ideas for the exhaust (and vocalize you thoughts at each step). Great content. Great exhaust

I buy mine in bulk so it's not cost effective unless you're building a lot of engines. If you want some for your Miata, miatabolts.com just opened up and is carrying zinc miata hardware.

stainless steel, if you give it a good acetone wash and then a light coat of wd40 will turn a brilliant gold color as it warms up havent welded titanium in years but i bet it sounds fantastic, good work man

It's got hangers at the tips and is held pretty tight. It shouldn't move more than usual.

Once the shop is done I'll do a deep dive into it. I finished it, drove it at MATG, and hated a lot about it so it's going to go through a big change.
