Narail otter fishermen, Bangladesh

The last place on Earth which practices fishing by using 'tame' otters to herd fish into nets. The otters seemed very energetic and happy, though this was possibly just due to being out of their little wooden box. Like everywhere in Bangladesh, where there is a tourist there will be a crowd! A wonderful spectacle to experience.

This is an absolutely AMAZING video. I have never seen or heard of "otter fishing". I didn't know otters even existed in Bangladesh. Its amazing to see these riverside villages, literally. What is the name of this place?

@TheWasequeShow thanks for the nice comment! i wish i knew the name of the specific village but all i know is that its in the narail region. i got a driver from khulna to take me there but we could not communicate. the village was lovely though the world, or rather japanese tourists apparently, are becoming aware of them.

There are also Cormorant fisherment in Japan, also very sophisticated fishing style. They do it at night starting with burning pinewood to attract fish.
