We sat down with the dev team to discuss exciting changes coming to #NARAKABLADEPOINT in Season 12, including:

About Tessa's changes, please keep her third ultimate variant! Enchant: Group Prey is a really good ult for her to have as it has a wide AOE and can catch more people, while healing Tessa. It's also very unique compared to her other ultimate variants, and it's the only one that costs 100% Rage. Furthermore, I do think that her first ultimate variant should be nerfed. Being able to be Charmed more than once in two fights by the same Tessa is too strong, which is why I feel like it should cost more Rage to cast, like maybe around 70%-75% Rage like Ziping Yin's first and second ultimate variants. People should also gain immunity to being Charmed for a longer period of time, like around 15-20 seconds in order to prolong the time that Tessa can use her ultimate to charm the same people again. I think that her second ultimate variant is okay with costing 55% Rage though because it only damages enemies and heals Tessa, it doesn't CC enemies. It would be great if you could keep Tessa's third ultimate variant. It's a very good variant in Tessa's kit. I do agree that her third skill variant needs reworking, but I think that being able to give allies the Foxfire effect is a really good ability to have to be more support oriented. It would be great if you can keep her third skill as something she can use to support her allies better. Thank you for making the game great! 💖💖

I completely agree. I’d rather them get rid of her Ult1: Enchant and just replace it with her Ult2: Bite. Her Ult3: Group Prey is so fun and can be paired nicely with other characters’ Ults (Akos Hu’s Ult3 for example)

Personally not a huge fan of removing abilities just because some options are frequently used. Do that enough and we get cookie cutter gameplay where meta is the only thing ever. Hope yueshan can keep his ult form in showdown, otherwise he will struggle in solos. Worried that viper will lose all three versions of her ult just to get in line with everyone else. Not only are all 3 versions viable in multiple areas of play, the 3 versions make her stronger because the enemy can have a hard time knowing which one she will use on them. I think the players should start with armor specially gray armor when spawning in because the amount of time I spend in my games just looking and asking the game to give me gray armor is insane. I even had to travel to different poi to find armor which makes my activeness lower than before

You don't need to drop into a hotzone, plus you already get an initial rebirth, which includes armor!

I’m so excited for Tessa. I hope she gets an ability that gives her tails like the fox girl enchantress that she is😭 For Tessa, she can have an ability that gives her tails that adds up to 9 at maximum with every time she gets a kill. And it buffs her in some way and puts curses on who ever she attacks…like a hex or enchantment.

TMNT x Naraka Bladepoint They literally have 3 of the 4 weapons (dual blades/katana, staff, and nunchucks), and the halberds could be repurposed as Raphael’s sai. All they’d have to do is add universal back accessories for the turtle shells and headgear for each turtle. Hell, they could even repurpose the polesword as Casey Jones’ hockey stick!

This maybe outside the suggestions you're looking for on this video but would be really happy for you guys to Implement a way to have us customize skins ( or weapon color if possible )...instead of just repainting older skin and reselling them with gold...this could be a good addition for "us" who haven't been lucky to get star costumes, it's one way to show "uniqueness" outside of the usual character customization.

Please add in showdown, duos mode. In Yamas take away the countdown that forces you out the game after beating the final boss of the stage. Give us the option of when to leave. And for final boss in any stage in yamas let them drop a final legendary/gold anima ring. Fix Matari’s invisibility in Yama’s because it doesn’t seem to work against range enemies. And lastly, either get rid of cannon in Yama’s or speed up the projectile speed. Challenging to hit flying enemies with cannon.

They're need to implement a better lfg system before adding another queue type. Already too many as it is. A multi-queue function would be great as well. Not quite sure why you'd want to stay after the final boss is defeated, most people just insta-leave from the menu. Matari does need some love in Showdown though, they made her base damage so low, that even with her self-buff she can't keep up. Cannon though is pretty good for killing groups of enemies. I hate that the green ghosts can actually dodge them though. Makes soloing the ambush zones much harder. Faster projectile speed would definitely be welcome, but idk about removing it.

Please work on optimization for Playstation 5. The game tends to run very poorly when there is multiple players in a spot and becomes very unresponsive sometimes. Optimizing more for the system would be a huuuuuge improvement for gameplay and the player experience. Thank you 🙏🏼❤️

Its not only PS5. PC is exact the same as you mentioned. I have RTX 2060 Super and I play on ultra low. Its just Naraka... But the bright side is that we get new shiny outfits right?🤣🤣

I'm not happy with the removal of Tessa's version 3 ult as it's extremely useful in trios/duos. Whereas i'm excited to hear Matari is getting a rework, I love her but playing as her right now can be a painful experience if you don't have the right characters to support you in-game. All in all though, i'm excited for season 12 🎉

Agreed. Tessa’s 3rd ult is even useful in solos as a 3rd party tool. But it is better in duos/trios, especially paired with Akos’ 3rd ult. I’d rather they get rid of Tessa’s first ult, since it’s just a smaller and somewhat weaker version of her 3rd ult.

Why are you removing Tessa’s Ult3: Group Prey? It’s so much fun to use! It would’ve been better to just remove her Ult1 and replace it with Ult2: Bite. Also, I’m looking forward to the Potential Board changes. They seem really good, especially for those who prefer certain play styles or modes (i.e., Control heroes in Solos can focus on Solar branches). There are three things I’m hoping for from the Treasures/loot boxes next season: a rework to decrease the reoccurrence of the same cosmetics (ESPECIALLY rare/blue cosmetics), more extremes for weapons with 2 legendary souljades (Longsword, Katana, Staff, Spear, and Dagger) to alter the effects of the other souljades (not just the [insert weapon] sap souljades), and an extreme skin for either the Pistol or the Dual Halberds.

Tessa is such a trash hero that spam ultimate with huge CC in a short span of time, like 15-20s each time with Rage regenation build, that is wayyyy too much worse than being fun

I think Naraka should update the special skill effects of red weapon skins and special killing effect of red costumes to be able to use with other skin, as long as players already own the red quality skin. I personally like the special effect but it got bored to play the same skin all the time. If i want the effect i could not use other low-ranked (yellow) skin, which has much more beautiful designs.

I agree. For example, I really like the butterfly and Phoenix effects of Kurumi’s and Féria’s extreme cosmetics, but I don’t like how Kurumi’s extreme cosmetic actually looks, and I don’t always feel like using Féria’s extreme outfit either.

In my opinion hadi and tianhai changes are good, same goes with yueshan, but tessa changes are not the best, her other ultimate variants are less picked because they are more for 1v1 or 1v2 type of fights and are easier to dodge, which in most situations gonna become not so good, where the 3rd is more usefull in all sorts of situations but 1 time rage use while the other two are 2 time use in a fight also I would change the way shayol wei ultimate works, because it's too powerfull and confusing for new players too, I would make the auto parry shield that she has, either have limited ability use after hit, or just have hp bar like for example tianhai have. Just a way to show how you can counter it in game, without reading or watching things on the internet.

Agreed on Tessa’s ult changes. I’d rather they remove the first/basic ult and keep the other 2. Or maybe they could repurpose the 2nd one into the 3rd one so it covers a wider AOE and does damage instead of enchanting.

I generally like what I hear in this video. My one concern: casual modes will rotate every few hours instead of every few weeks. Will they rotate them to prevent the same mode showing up during my main playtime? Will the same mode appear 6:00 pm every night? Or will they have the rotation set so that on 6:00 pm the first night I get Capture the Spirit Wells and 6:00 pm the next night it's Hot Potato?

I'm hoping Tessa is getting further changes at a later date because right now this is just a giant middle finger to Tessa players. Everybody else gets some kind of tweak, buff, merge, or otherwise sidegrade to their kit in exchange for the loss of parts of their kit but Tessa just gets nothing. This change is ENTIRELY negative with no positive element whatsoever for her.

I really like the update that you separated card into each character's slot. really useful for fashion. I think one of the worst things about this game is that it's currently almost a "must" to use a combo breaking skill, when there are so many interesting skills available. I don't think there need to be less abilities and ultimates, but ok. Some heroes that are considered "less good", obviously could need a combo breaking skill to be better overall. Perhaps the problem rather is the stagger effect and endless strings of attacks where one party of the fight can't move or do anything, even in "untrue" combos, creating a kind of "get hit once and lose" gameplay. The pro's are gentlemen and play a fair game in a fair way, especially during tournaments, but they also know these "infinites" and cheap tricks that are used so much in regular gameplay even at the highest levels. And since the game is crossplay anyways, why aren't the other players visible and leaderboards merged for a single region? Why are there separate leaderboards for pc, xbox and playstation, and no visibility of players on other platforms, it's like totally seperate worlds that plays together. And while on the topic of cross-platform, perhaps the framerate should be similar (even locked) for all the platforms, and those with additional capacity rather enjoy better graphics quality.

It is possible, but very difficult. I’ve found that ranged weapons and CC abilities are quite effective against her ult.

I love the changes, but 1 part of the game is not soo good.... u will get for the first 100 treasure, 1 guarantee extreme skin... but not for the next 100. 100 treasures is not cheap so it would be fair that the count for the extreme skin will go for EVERY 100 treasures u will open.

Agreed. Or at least rework it so you’re less likely to get repeats once you have a certain amount/percentage of a specific rarity in a pack. For example, if you have at least 75% of rare/blue items from the Lotus treasures, you’ll be less likely to get more blues/repeats from additional Lotus treasures.

I don’t think that’s what’s happening. They said their merging his skills 1 and 3 into a single skill. So it’ll probably pull enemies to you and then trigger the explosion. The glider is still most likely going to be his second skill, from my understanding.

The characters will have just 2 skills and 2 ultimates? I'm totally agree whit making skills more usefull and flexible, but i don't like to see hadi, tessa and tanhai whit just 2 varints. The skills have to be flexible and follow the hero specifics and stat, but whit just 2 varints it's impossible to express all their potential or makes personal builds.

The newer heroes are severely power-creeped. The fix isn't to bring the rest up, but nerf the ones that are over-tuned. You're just going to impede the basic game mechanics and making neutral obsolete in favor of who can pull out more bullshit.

i guess players were crying that i kept sniping them all in spirit well LOL. Fix the real issue (Parties in spirit well) top 10 ranked players all party up to pad their stats, enemy team full of incompotent console players and just get spawn camped whilst the other team uses all the cheesy overpowered heros paired with the cheese weapons. remove the ability to party up for spirit well and alot of balance problems will be solved

Hello Naraka, I wrote to you more times, but you didn't listen. Showdown can't be played in Yama's Solo even in trio, because parry always delayed. Bosses can't pass through also because they hit twice and die with my full sense souljade. Stamina is to low and can't run or dodge faster. And rebirth bead is a joke because I can use twice per match. So this game can't be played even in ranked mode because I fight with bots and you putted all chineese skills in both. I'm feel I playing against chinese hackers not Ai pc. Isn't not enough that are many hackers who cheated at this game? So I think you cheated too

i really liked tessa's third skill really useful in team modes to get my teamates out of combos and pressure it was her second skill i didnt get much use out of but idk maybe it will be replaced with something better

Agreed. I love using it even in solos as a 3rd-party tool. And in duos/trios, it pairs quite effectively with Akos’ ult3 if timed/used cohesively. Lock them up and steal their souls.
