You build stamina and patience overtime, I was the same. Test your patience on some projects from time to time and you'll see you get better at it. Also keeping your phone time as minimal as you can helps a LOT to increase your attention span, being bored is actually a good thing.
@Danger_N00dle7 ай бұрын
@@HenriqueLoesch Yeah, instead of wasting time on my phone, I tend to watch random videos on my PC instead lol. But yeah, the idea remains the same. That's one hell of a banger to start your youtube journey off on. And by that I mean both the original animation and this breakdown of it. Also nice to get some actual reference of time scales involved in the making of quality art like this, since those usually tend to be a bit of an obscure element of the final product, despite being important for anyone aspiring to pull of similar feats to be aware of. I really didn't expect for planning and previz to take up a combined, whole month here for example, so I now have at least a rough benchmark of project stamina to eventually work towards.

Honestly brother the biggest thing a lot of people I think benefit greatly from is insight into animation. Because sure you can take animations pre-made on Mixamo and make alterations to them to get a somewhat desired effect. But until someone has a solid understanding of what makes things look real, it'll just look janky and awkward when you make slight alterations to achieve your objectives. Please keep coming back to animation from time to time. =)

It's worth mentioning the perspective flip at 12:10 (where black/red Genji is now suddenly kicking from the left, after previously attacking from the right) is like a cardinal sin among action sequences, animated or otherwise. It's important to maintain consistency with regards to the actors' space retention, aka who is who and who is where... especially in dynamic, fast & flashy sequences like this one. Even more so here since, in this case, both of your actors are palette swaps of the same model. It is obvious from the rest of the video that you understand the nuances of perspective so I was confused by that choice, but otherwise, this was phenomenal and I can't wait to see how you improve going forward!

i was shocked, the first word i said was wow. 10 weeks for this project, just amazed how dedicated you are. But a little feedback the very last shot, i think the characters are swapped, like the withe genji was jumping in the air ulting, then he was sunndely in the bottom in the last clip. Anyways Solid job, me personally do not have the patience or the skill for this, something i envy you for😄

Fantastic job on this. It's very professionally done and I loved your explanation. I'm beginning my journey into Unreal Engine 5 as someone who seeks to animate and create cinematics within it. I'm seeing that you're incorporating Maya into the workflow for animating and also for the virtual camera movement. Is the animation sequencer within Unreal Engine not on a good level to work with for animating? I understand that Maya is "industry standard," but tbh, I'd rather not pay for the license to use that if software like Unreal Engine or Blender have something for animating, just not as robust. I'd love to hear your input/thoughts/comments. Anyhow, thank you for the wonderful video. I've subscribed and hope to see more breakdowns in the future!
@sakocgi8 ай бұрын
Thank you, my friend! Such a nice comment I don't know if Unreal can provide the same possibilities and tools for animation that Maya does. But Blender for sure. It depends on your goals. Maya gives you more chances to get a job as it's industry standard. But if you're doing freelance and your own project and have a limited budget then yeah, Blender is a solution😉 Good luck😉
