He is wrong once again. "Urban overload" is a lame excuse for not developing infrastructure. China had the same issue of mass migration. Chinese were moving in the millions to Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. The chinese solved the issue by building a 25-corridor metro in Shanghai. Shanghai's metro is 2x bigger than Delhi's metro system

Thanks Chandra Babu Naidu for developing Amaravati-Vijayawada-Guntur ORR region as a new Tier1 metropolitan area of India but with good spatial planning like Piped gas to independent houses, IPTV, Underground electricity cables, Footpath/Sidewalk, etc. We need this. We don't want to keep adding people to existing Tier1 cities. We need new Tier1 cities.

Compared to Amaravati, there are several cities in Andhra Pradesh that offer promising potential for development with lower investment requirements. The Tirupati-Sri City belt, for instance, has already shown growth as an industrial hub due to its proximity to Chennai, access to skilled labor, and infrastructure support. The Kakinada and Krishnapatnam-Ramayapatnam areas also hold significant promise, especially with their strategic coastal locations that support port development and trade. Additionally, Visakhapatnam (Vizag) is emerging as a key city with well-established infrastructure, making it an attractive option for further development. The Guntur-Vijayawada region also offers excellent connectivity and is well-positioned to serve as a central node for trade and commerce within the state. The Anantapur-Bangalore border region benefits from proximity to the thriving Bangalore metro area, allowing it to attract businesses and industries seeking lower operational costs while still being close to a major urban center. Kurnool, with its central location and access to major highways, can serve as a logistical hub connecting various parts of Andhra Pradesh

Instead of having 10000 IT companies in Bengaluru, Pune,Hyderabad , if people who run these companies had common sense , they would have 100 companies in 100 cities and when IT companies start offices in a city then it will be followed by good schools ,branded hospitals , malls and fine dining restaurants will follow them and start their branches in these new cities thus reducing the invicible burden like water, energy, waste management and waste water on the bigger cities.

I can absolutely tell that this is the case for Pune. I've lived here my entire life but now it's nothing short of a nightmare. You pretty much can't do anything during rush hour and on weekends. All places are so incredibly crowded that you really don't even feel like leaving your house. Roads are congested, public transport is over loaded (to put it mildly), there is rarely enough space to even breathe in any public place. And the pace at which the city's population is increasing seems to have shot up unbelievably after Covid. Never have I wanted more to move out to a different country or at least a quiet more peaceful place here.

Very valid points. So Mr. Narayanamurthy, why don't u let your employees work from home more? That would reduce the carbon footprint and would ensure that more people work from their respective hometowns instead of shifting to major urban cities. You know what, Mr. Murthy, you will not do that. So keep your bhashan to yourself - u are the symbol of crony and non-empathetic capitalism. You see the world in black and white; and expect every single person in the world to be a workaholic like u. Mrs. Murthy can put up with ur quirky ways and workaholism, but not every family person would want their spouses to be so. So please, retire quietly with ur amazing legacy as the founder of Infosys and not tarnish it with irrational/hypocritical/shortsighted comments.

There was a very funny interview I watched in which one guy prioritised being there for his family compared to one guy who was only talking very expensive cars . His words are completely contradictory to his actions . A good solution to the problem will be work from home . Why ? It will reduce traffic , increase savings , save time but he would rather preach for dying in office don’t believe him , ignore him and move on .

Urban overload because of the rise in corporates like Infy. So give flexibility to wfh instead of asking the employees to visit the office.

Elon Musk and Narayana Murthy are people with similar thoughts, Both oppose Leftists, Unions, Work life balance sh8t and Support Right and center right, support efficiency and free market, But Musk has become World's 2nd most powerful person, But Mr Murthy is being targeted in India, Wonder why America is soo advanced?? Becoz they've been electing capitalists for majority of their 250 years of history, While India was doing the opposite

Because India has inequality of income, status and oppourtunity. Top 1% capitalists of India holds 40% of Indias wealth. So balance is necessary in a country where merit never considered as sole factor.

A plan of action is need of the hour. Developing near by areas as city centre is another option. Metro connectivity. Mass Rapid Transit System also can be planned.

It is thanks to these IT companies and that the cities are becoming unlivable and costly. Tier 2, and tier 3 cities were not developed and now all load is coming on a few cities.
