A level crossing found next to Narborough Railway Station, in between the villages of Narborough and Littlethorpe just outside of Leicester. This level crossing is not as busy for pedestrians and vehicles as may be expected. A very recently-painted footbridge allows pedestrians to safely bypass the lowered barriers, and connects the two platforms of the station here which is served hourly in each direction during the off-peak. Both of the alarms here look rather old, yet they sound at a reasonable volume and work well, and their sound is almost identical to that made by the alarms at Rainham Level Crossing in Kent.
Two lowerings are featured in this video. The first features a pair of class 66s passing with only two empty flat-bed wagons, the leading locomotive of which gave a horn salute as it passed non-stop through the station. In the second lowering, a stopping Birmingham-bound passenger service was stopped in the station for much longer than usual.

Hello, great video, a quick question I am just checking the signal box still controls the the level crossing.

Thanks for the nice comment! I'm not entirely sure if it is still active or not personally, as the blinds were open, yet there were CCTV cameras for control overlooking the crossing (suggesting it could be controlled elsewhere, or maybe from the signal box via the cameras). I can't say for sure

Thank you very much! It is a nice crossing and not too busy either. I'd been wanting to visit for a while, but didn't have the chance to until that date as I stopped in some nearby Services. Glad I've been now though.
