The word “bragging” doesn’t fit being married to (or living with) and living thru years under the control of a Narcissist. It was a different time back then, It was a Wife’s duty (and control by Narcissists) to stay married, raise the kids…. then add in a Narcissist to the home of any survivor of a Narcissist knows what I’m saying. Besides in my case as with Narcissists many have flying monkeys involved. When my ex would cheat, he’d start an argument for a stupid reason, blame me for the argument, then ignore me for days. Unfortunately, I only realized after we divorced, and he cheated with me on his girlfriend. No longer in that mess - NO CONTACT. Don’t even look them up ANYWHERE. It will only set you back. Projection is a super weird one. Sometimes, it's a set up and at times a Narc actually believes the twisted rant or spouting , where you said or did nothing of the sort. When she was 14, my mother was sent to Catholic home for difficult-to-educate children. What is only possible until you are 21 (today 18), then you are of legal age. These documents contain what applies to her today. According to several homes, she was described as follows: She Hangs out in the Vienna Prater (grew up there) / We are Austrians, living in the capitol, Vienna keeps escaping the home lies, is malicious, gloating, cheeky always speaks against the instructions in the home doesn't find a connection is violent always wants to be the center of attention is particularly disingenuous dissimulates everything and doesn't take responsibility for her actions is unpunctual is only interested in food and bums (but wasn't really fat) is extremely unstable in terms of will and weak in character doesn't follow any house rules and is constantly disruptive is not accepted by most comrades / She even had no friends amongst other children there has skill but no endurance is unreliable in character performs below average is constantly involved in conflicts talks badly about others is brutal!!! has an intelligence defect (T-score 37) was deflowered and claimed being a virgin, but admitted to having sex with a cousin / She always told me being a virgin till 18! There was constant tension around her. She escaped from the homes several times *Her stream of speech was non-stop and lacking in content.*

When I went to her for coffee every day for almost 20 years, I couldn't sit and breathe for five minutes. She always had to show me something and I had to get up and come into the kitchen etc. I never got peace, never! There were thousands of little things to keep me busy or even angry. At first I thought it was because of my age (52) and that I would become an old, grumpy man, even though I was well educated, extremely fit and a positive person. But over the last two years it has been obvious that much of it was intentionally provoked. My mother was always jealous that other people spoke well of me and liked me.

When I reinforced my mother's silent attitude towards discard, I initially felt a lot more energy. After a short while I became angry and ultimately really sad. Even after six months, it's hard to assume that she won't change and things will only get worse. I always told her that she chose to be like that, not to develop further. She never responded. No one has forgiven as much and as often as I have. But at some point it's over. Life has passed me by and aside from my little college education, my sports, and my job, I have nothing. But when I observe normal women out there, men too, many of them have a narcissistic touch. They don't deserve you, they just find each other, like the narcissist finds the narcissist. Because we are no victims anymore.

I have 2 things I would like to mention. First and foremost, Andrew I just got a lightbulb moment! I remember when me and the ex narc wife were engaged and we went to pre marital counselling and the pastor asked us both a question which was "if your spouse and your family were both drowning in the ocean, who would you save first?" My answer was her and then interestingly enough the ex narc wife said she would save me as well! But you want to know something funny, during the course of the 3.5 marriage I asked the same question to her when I started catching on to the charade and when I asked her this time her response was "I dont know!!, maybe you and my family!! What do you want me to say!!" Trying to guilt trip me and gaslight me at the same time smhh 🤔😔
