Sam explains how he had to come up with language to explain his own inner world being a narcissist,he then turned that around and helped,helps others to explain their trauma caused by narcissistic relationships,and hopefully the narcissist who isn't completely consumed by their childhood trauma and will take sam's information to try and stop their pain and at the same time hopefully stop hurting others for their self soothing needs. This is very true and there is no wonder that the narcissist could not offer any love and affection like those healthy people. I felt they were critically different (wrong, in other words) but they cannot acknowledge this fatal shortage themselves. I wish those narcissists watch this video and other ones. I am not sure if they can acknowledge that those videos are describing them. If they could notice their own darkness, they might be able to transform miraculously.

I’ve just left him after 2 intense years of sexual abuse and financial abuse and neglect and now I’m being punished by him as he has made false accusations that I have damaged his property and the is a restraining order on me.. Does the narcissist provoke his partner into behaving like his mother? I ask this because I am genuinely a kind, thoughtful and patient woman. He shared his mother was impatient, mouthy and mean. Over some time being with him and enduring multiple lies and manipulation I found myself behaving in a way that I did not like. He brought out the worse in me over time. It's like I became his mother..(by his will) . When I would seperate myself from him, he would , force cry, stomp on the ground, plead and became angry beyond normal adulthood. I finally discarded him 4 months ago and he's endlessly, hopelessly, frantically trying to convince me to come back that he's changing and becoming a better man. He's 46 I'm 58. SMH thank you for your wisdom.
@magdahernandez69242 ай бұрын
yep, how, why? Because they change the tone of communication to be aggressive, accusatory, manipulative, they NEED discontent, confrontation, your loss is their gain, when you are happy they want to know why so they can DISABLE the feeling in you NOT to share it. It is NEVER, EVER about you, you are a tool, an emotional appliance to be played with for the gain of their empty ego, they have no center, no emotional compass and then they lie and hijack your personality, claim your victories as if they did it and they lie, at some point you start questioning YOURSELF and your own judgement because no one acts like that on purpose do they, you think, well some people need to step on others to lift themselves up so i am happy for you that you have identified it, kept your sanity and are moving on, continue, don't look back, stop reliving it, get him out of your headspace, think of the new you and your future and spend zero time trying to figure out or fix him, pray for him on his journey and now move on with yours, good luck, go reclaim yourself!!!

My former best friend was bullied horribly as a kid for his brother being gay. I always suspected he too was gay, but he saw what his brother went through and was he went through, he couldn’t come out and be himself. Instead he focused on his looks, being grandiose, and into MMA. Everyone who knows him talks about how they know he’s gay and needs to come out. I know how horribly he was bullied and believe he never will come out of be true to himself. Instead he plays the victim on life. Battles depression. Left his wife and two kids. Sad. I couldn’t handle him anymore and ended the friendship. I will always love him but he needs to love himself first. He never will. He’s a “draft” of what could’ve been an amazing gay guy.

In the video, Sam identifies several types of abuse. At some point, usually when young, the narcissist is abused, whether beaten and berated or put on a pedestal and indulged, perhaps only receiving a highly conditional imitation of love, not love. Any type of abuse treats a person like an object, objects are not alive. So some victims of abuse may eventually perceive themselves as an object, not alive. This is difficult because they are living beings, in so many ways they will grasp for life, so maladaptions arise in various forms in an attempt to reconnect. This is just a possible contributing factor.
