As a clinical hypnotherapist I entirely endorse the work Melanie is doing. The issue of re-traumatization is a real one - it is absolutely necessary to access the sub/unconscious/body feeling briefly in order to locate where the pain/trauma is, before reframing and releasing it at all levels of the psyche (including past lives, genes etc ). Only then can we reprogram our psyche towards empowerment - we can powerfully orient ourselves towards a different future and free ourselves from the negative operant conditioning and the trauma bonding of the narcissist - and Thrive. Neuroplasticity requires this...

The most helpful part of this video, for me, was when Melanie addressed people who were criticizing her, and simply said "if they don't realize the value of what I have to share, that's their problem and not my problem'. That's what I needed to hear today. Very helpful, thanks Melanie!

Melanie, I can’t thank you enough. So much information available on what NPD “is”, but I knew/know that I need to be healed from trauma that I have experienced and not had the tools to deal with, my entire life. While knowledge of what NPD is, was extremely valuable, and helped me to identify what I was dealing with, and start on this journey, I knew I needed more to help me heal, and so I continued to search, and came across your program. Just signed up for your webinar, looking forward to it! Thank you so much

Hi Melaine, I am so grateful for you and all the work you are doing for the community. I am a NARP member and have been working your program. I loved this show because I am a very positive thinker and do believe in the Law of Attraction however as you stated you can not up level and evolve until you face your own inner wounds. My goal after being abused was to never have this happen to me again and that's when I found your website. I love myself and I am so thrilled about where my life I s heading. For the first time in my life I feel a sense of purpose in my life. God bless you and you are truly an angelic messenger.

I just broke up with my narcissist after going to visit my family alone for 3 months, and being apart from him made me see more clearly what he really is. I was about to move to Australia for him and my life would have been so different if I went over there. Can’t help being even more down because I feel like I don’t have a purpose here with no job and no intention to stay in the area, yet can’t leave until I’m healed.

Hi Melanie. This is not something I usually do, but I just had to comment and say thank you - your videos have pretty much saved me. I have a friend who has NPD and as a devoted psychology student, one would think that I'd pick it up immediately. But in all honesty, I didn't...until I ended up on the receiving end of the abuse. I thought that merely discovering he has NPD would give me motivation to stay away and cut all ties, but I soon realised that I was already stuck in too deep. Getting out of that frame of mind and trying to repair the damage done is an uphill battle, primarily not only because all my friends could never understand - which I hope they never have to understand or go through, but I am struggling to hold down a job. I never realised how one person could completely shatter me and make me feel like I'm a worthless piece of nonsince (because I never thought that of myself before). My performance at work is highly affected by this and most days I just feel emotionally exhausted. I have managed to let go of all of this pain before, and I know it's a long process, but as soon as I let go he somehow finds a way to pop his head back in the picture and everything from the past comes right back and slaps me in the face. As a firm believer in the law of attraction myself, I have noticed that the whole point to it is to truly feel - even if negative feelings, allowing them to play out so that you can come to a state of feeling empowered. However, doing this isn't helping in this situation...I just feel worse. I have begun to look inwards and am finding this process extremely rewarding. So thank you so much for spreading the word and making your knowledge known.

Brilliant - a Gem of a Video. " Reprogramming subconscious trauma" - you nailed it again, as you do .I find it so tricky to explain to people about what ARE the differences between so many psychological healing modalities out there, versus the Thriver Model. Thank you so much for providing videos and talks that can be shared to those I can't explain so eloquently to - but deeply want to. I am able to share these talks so much more easily than Moi attempting to do the same - thank you so much.

I have used you and your thriver model since 2011. I have been through 2 narcissist and as you mention, it is just an opportunity to up-level some more. I found recently quitting a bad job - QFH helped with that. What came to mind listening to this show, is their is an aspect of talk-therapy, law-of-attraction that have value. However, when you combine them with QFH - you will have total success. It is important to figure out what the problem is (talk-therapy). It is important to believe that you can truly have whatever you want (law of attraction). However, it is paramount if you truly want to heal to up-level the weeds of your soul with QFH - then you can use talk therapy to figure out what you truly want, use the law of attraction to get it and then you can have a happy and fulfilled life. Thank you Mel, for bringing me back from the land of zombies xo

Great approach and well explained. This is my experience too - I couldn't really go through the "positive thinking of LOA" but I searched for different tools for releasing blocks and for healing traumas. There are many different methods how to do that and it's good to find one that suits you. I appreciate so much your video because it just agrees with everything I learned about healing emotional traumas and LOA. Thank you!
@joyceshafer96538 жыл бұрын
Such a clear, valid explanation, Melanie. When people first learn about or become involved with Law of Attraction, it’s tempting to land on the Positive Thinking wave - and miss the key point: LOA operates in accord with what’s stored in our subjective (subconscious) mind. Our subjective mind contains beliefs we are aware of and ones we aren’t. Opposing forces cannot occupy the same space, e.g., doubt and faith cannot be held at the same time: the one you FEEL more strongly is the signal you send into the creative field, as well as the one you operate from. The objective (conscious) mind can change subjective beliefs (whew!). This is where NARP does its work. It’s where beliefs that hold you back are given a safe place to surface and be released by conscious choice so you can shift. Here are some Ernest Holmes statements from The Science of Mind that remind us of this and support what you said in this video and teach: “Merely to abstain from wrong thinking is not enough; there must be active right thinking.” “Man’s subjective Mind is really the use we are making of the One Law.” “Each draws from Life what he thinks into it.” “To learn how to think is to learn how to live. This is not done by holding thoughts but by knowing the Truth.” “All thought is creative, according to the nature, impulse, emotion, or conviction behind the thought.” “The Conscious Mind is superior to the subjective and may consciously use it.” “We have a conscious mind that operates within a subjective field, which is creative.” “The conscious mind is Spirit, the subjective is Law.” “Look a discordant ‘fact’ in the face and deny its ‘reality’, it is an illusion.” “A limited condition has no real Universal Law to support it; it is simply an experience of consciousness.” “Appearances have no real power; only consciousness does. Cease to believe in them, and they shift.” “It’s not a power of will; it’s the power of choice. We get what we believe most.” “Treat until you get results.” “Give up any belief that hinders the desired demonstration. This is not about denial, but about absolute perfection and freedom.” “Anything the mind thinks, it can unthink.” “Man’s outward life is a result of the subjective state of his thought.” “That which we look upon is real while we look at it.” “Leave off old mental reactions to transcend previous experiences.” “No person whose entire time is spent in the contemplation of limitation can demonstrate freedom from such limitation.” “We do not compel or coerce something to happen, nor use willpower. Treatment is not something you do to another, an environment, or a situation; it is always the thing one does to himself.” “Every problem is primarily mental, and the answers to our problems will be found in Spiritual Realization.” “What life does for us must be done through us.” Anyone reading to this point can (I hope) see what Melanie and NARP provides, and that this is provided through truth about how Mind and Law work together. The fact is that effort (doing the NARP work) leads to results and rewards.

+Joyce Shafer Wow - your post is sooo full of wisdom, power and insight!! Yes, it is so true a tool was needed (and QFH is not the only one) where we can safely and powerfully meet and heal the subconscious, because that was the only way many of us were ever going to break free. xoxox

I wanted to share with you that I've been utelizing the phrase you've said "this is not a part of my reality anymore", this has been so freeing. OMG!!!! My ex did that to me- 10 months of supervised visits with my FIRST child!!!!! The entire experience except for the first 5 months were nothing like what I wanted or ever imagined! I'm still letting go of the anger and sending that time frame love, to let go and heal. Yes, hijacked emotionally is a perfect description of what I have been living. Currently he is stonewalling which is a relief compared to the up & down crap we were doing before. We're still living together until I can save up to move out. I had a huge aha moment yesterday that all of the pictures we had ever taken were specifically taken by me, never him, and as I was deleting all of our pictures together because I no longer want to look at pictures that are lies, I noticed over and over again how many times he just looked miserable and I was trying to always cheer him up, make him care, and I just really saw how miserable he was. I realized for myself how long I've been faking it and trying to make him love me like I wanted him to, like I had wanted my mom to, but she consistently rejected me and still has. I've just cut her off as an adult, we had a conversation where I told her when she decided to grow up and forgive me for the mistakes I made as a child we could have a relationship. Sadly, I kept trying to get her to let me back into her heart, she's refused. I finally gave up this year and let it go realizing that she wants to hold onto all the blame and guilt tripping and anger. Now realizing she was a narcissist and that the physical assault I experienced as well as the verbal slaughter of me as a child growing up finally makes sense. I just thought she was a rage a holic, but now I get it. My brother was always the Golden child and I was told I was the wild child uncontrollable one, the black sheep, the bad kid. Unreal what is surfacing. I love that, thank you- you can't heal what you're not ready to feel. Me saying this is no longer my reality is helping emmensely. I'm looking so forward to your 3 hour training. Thank you for following your life mission to be here doing this now. I am so grateful. Who cares what you wear, people are silly, they need to focus on the message which is life saving. But then again if you choose to be distracted on non important issues, that just shows they are using that as a redirect tool instead of doing the inner work needed to move forward. Bless your heart for doing that while you had the flu!!!! What a blessing you are!!! Sending you so so much love, light, and hugs across the miles. 🙏🙏🙏😊😊😊😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hi Melanie, Thanks for the explanation, it provided a lot of clarity on these issues as I have had a lot of experience with all three of them. Now I understand how the emotions are the issue. For me the narc was like a catalyst so I could resolve the music issue with my father. I came to see how my x-husband, brother, father and non-related narc figured into the mix. I'm much more aware of my body and I can see how my inner little girl befriends me. There is the other side. The relationships I am participating in now are very rich and fullfilling. Whew!

Hello Beautiful Melanie, a couple of years back I was one of the people asking you about applying Law Of Attraction and confused as to why this wouldn't work. Down the line you have been consistently and completely accurate in everything you have said. You can only attract what you are reflecting from inside - as above so below- like attracts like. When you are coming from a place of unworthiness and self abandonment you can only attract the same. On top of the deep seated feelings of less than, the narcissistic partner is hammering away at your wounds externally, therefore how can you possible come from a state of true well being, happiness and bliss? It is not even remotely possible. It's only when we do the inner work on ourselves and heal our wounds, then we can attract a relationship that reflects a wholesome and blissful inner state. Thank You Melanie for sharing your profound wisdom, eternally grateful. XOXO

Makes sense. My body will get shaky and panic, even if I logically am not worried at all. I logically know its ok, but my body recognizes people, places, experiences, and reacts to that, no matter what I think. There are tons of chemicals and hormones that produce without negative thinking. It takes time to replace those strong holds with positive outcomes.

Hi Melanie, You're so good. Just left a a pervers narcissicist. Best thing for me : naturopathy and buying a kitten. WIth the naturopath I was able to choose a colour in my life (yellow and?or orange) and it's the theme of my new home> Not overpowering but a positive message at each corner of my house> The kitten as well has given me the opportunity to focus on something else> Id like to have a chat with you about the message of the numbers, so many numbers and situations are matching in my life> For instance : lost my mum of suicide at 3 years of age in Belgium, finishing in Adelaide Australia and ... we found in our previous house a wood beam on which it was written Adelaide-Belgium or I got my huge breakdown on my 20th wedding anniversary> Could we have a chat about that. Btw for me thriving model is DEFINETELY the solution to start to heal. Big congratulations for your work

All good - things are just as hectic - but it's also because apart from work and the move I have amazing Life Things going on as well. I'm too "Thriver" now to say "no"... and I DO love it all! xoxox

A very inspiring talk Melanie, thank you. I've been thinking that I'm getting over my abuse quite well emotionally, but I have a lot of health problems at the moment. I'm not sure if it is because I haven't resolved all of my issues yet, and need to look deeper into things, or whether it's just the aftermath of 11 years of wear and tear from looking after my ex. I'm basically happy now, but I do find myself getting angry from time to time over the past.

First off Melanie, anyone who's examining your outfits, are watching your videos for the wrong reasons. I have been finding more and more (or just noticing more now) that since my narcissist discarded me, and I'm feeling low, and my mom has a serious illness that I'm devoting a lot of energy to (and getting more depressed in the process), that I have been surrounded by so many cruel, empathy lacking people to me.(with the exception of my son, and maybe one work friend. I feel like I'm surrounded by sharks and bleeding!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! It is so helpful to me! Could you please do a video on selfpartnering? You have talked about it before, and I'm practicing it as good as I can, but I'm sure you have good techniques due to your work in this field. Love and light to you!

I really love what you are doing and saying. I have recently left a relationship with a small child upon the slow Evolution that I was dealing with a narcissist. Over the years I have done a lot of self work in many of the areas you mentioned. I find your show refreshing because so much narcissistic abuse victimizes the individual who's not narcissistic. While I found the information helpful, my spiritual side felt ignored. Your approach addresses the spirit and healing, which is so important. I am a little lost at the thriving model exactly. I have identified over the years and continue to identify my childhood wounds. But then what? Does your model Base Healing on pure observation? White's childhood wounds begin to show themselves, then what? This is where I feel stuck.

OMG, Melanie, I think that would be amazing. Why not PJ's & tea when you didn't feel well? A beautiful example of self-care. We choose to invite you in our homes, lives & hearts. This community is family and this, to me, is a journey back home to self. It is empowering to witness you unapologetically set boundaries, without internalizing judgment, You command respect and stand your ground. You are firm, powerful, strong, yet remain empathetic, kind, graceful and feminine. It's such a beautiful example of not allowing judgment to be internalized. It is so empowering💟

Osho addressed this years ago. Talking means giving attention, whatever you gives attention, grows. I had felt it even before I had a name for abuse. I knew in my heart that "this won't work". The best video I saw on the internet especially on narcissistic abuse healing. Law of attraction keeps you in ignorance and yes, shadow follows, even after a good day, the back of your mind is this unknown feeling of hopelessness and fear. Now we can understand what it is. Thank you, Thank you so much. You've set so many people on THE path, the path which have the least chances to be lost and to be healed in the least possible time with effectively.

I do have a slight confusion about vibrationally being in a good place and attracting good things. My ex N was very financially abusive (which I know is pretty common) and since our divorce I have struggled with money while he has flourished. And, he continues to be abusive financially through child support and health insurance issues, plus being a Disneyland Dad with the kids--taking expensive vacations and buying them things I can't afford presently. I recognize I've been functioning from a state of lack on this accord and so have begun to try to change this attitude both through Law of Attraction concepts, reading Marianne Williamson's The Law of Divine Compensation and working in your goal setting modules; however, if the energy that you are is the energy that you attract, how is it that N's are often so financially well off? Their vibrations are wretched, so why don't they attract dismal financial failure? Am I missing something here? I mean, I recognize they are ultimately tortured human beings, but I guess my point is more about if positive energy begets positive energy from the Universe, why are N's often "successful" financially or otherwise?

The recent comments about Melanie's appearance pertains to the "law of attraction" issue covered in this video....People perceive what THEY value. Those commenters must invest a lot of value into their boots and lipstick. It's strange, but I've seen that many times. I once showed a video to a friend, it was a talk by a well respected spiritual teacher. After viewing it, her only comment was how she couldn't stand the teacher's accent and hair style. I was shocked, it's as if she didn't HEAR any of the content! Later I realized how overly vain my friend was about HER OWN physical presentation (yet she considered herself to be very "spiritual"). It's an example of how, if one does not actually do the work to evaluate their own value system and consciousness, they won't even HEAR information necessary for their own evolution. Dear Melanie, correct me if I'm wrong here... :-)

+solis I completely agree. People "go to" the aspects of themselves that are of value (and stress) ... things required for them to have their "identity intact" (outer sourcing of value). Also big triggers that incite attack are unresolved wounds around the issues of the "assumptions / attacks". You are right ON it! xoxo
