Grew up Muslim, and I can relate to a lot of this. A LOT of what gets considered "strong faith" is really just performance. Virtue signalling. Narcissists are inherently better placed to push a manufactured image (a lot of their energy goes into maintaining personas/reputations) and as such, these people do REALLY well in a system that rewards overly performative virtue signalling. No longer religious myself, but I find I have so much in common with people who grew up as evangelical Christians or Jehovah's Witnesses. The cultish behaviours of blind faith in organised religions seems to be common across Abrahamic faiths. I think you touched on it quite well in this video. The KZbin algorithm really comes through with great stuff sometimes. Cheers for the vid mate

The lack of rational and logical thinking as a requirement for arguing anything church-related is a strong attractor for grifters who predate on people's fears and anxiety. You will find narcissism everywhere though

@@jaredmatthews9403 If an argument is unfalsifiable, anything you derive from it is questionable at best, irrational/illogical most of the time. If by "considered" you mean you are trying to argue a point based on unfalsifiable evidence, I am afraid you are just doing what pseudoscience is and how dogmas or agendas are typically established. To counter dogma with facts in an effort to be objective is what must be "considered".

A narcissist can't back up his claim ... it is narcissism to demand to be worshiped UNLESS you can handle the responsibility of God's position. He can. There are a billion people just as Christians who can testify to His power to keep us, to His guidance, His provision -- and even in far worse physical conditions than we have. For two thousand years, the evidence and testimony is clear (see Foxe's Book of Martyrs for a long view). Now, He may not be handling the world the way YOU WANT, but, if you are not a narc yourself, you already know you don't get to make those calls as a mere mortal man!
