In order to get better, narcissists need to stop lying to themselves first. Telling ourselves the truth and accepting accountability for what we have been through and what we have done is the only path forward into healing and growth.

Welcome my channel! If this is your first time seeing my face or hearing my voice, my name is Lee and I am a self aware narcissist. I have narcissistic personality disorder ( NPD ) and I've been in therapy for my personality disorder since 2017 and it has definitely changed my life because without it, I would have lost everything.
The point of these videos is to help bring awareness from the other side of the narcissistic *buse spectrum. All my videos give perspective on why many narcissists do what they do and the possible different reasons behind them. The victims and survivors get validation and the Narcissists (those that are willing) get to see that you can get help and that you are not alone.

it's making me feel better going through this checklist myself. making sure I am holding myself accountable for my role in this. I know it's not my fault it actually is them but it feels relieving to look at how I responded to it all. to look at where I lie to myself. it give me some power & strength back .

I just want to know why she just plays with me? Always wants me when she is dating others.. always says how she can’t stop thinking about me.. yet when she is single and I approach its like she never said anything. Calls me weird and obsessive when its her always reaching out for me. It’s sick and it hurts so much.

I love this. I was hoping to some day see a video from you directed towards an unaware narcissist. A video that could maybe help open the eyes of a narcissist to be able to see that they may be a narcissist and without shaming them. I only caught the last 3-4 minutes of this and I’m really wishing I had caught the whole thing.

Yes, I would love to see a video that introduces the idea slowly and definitely without any shame… and possibly that even means not having the word narcissist in big writing on the video…. even explaining the difference between having traits or toxic behaviours so that the people that may consider watching don’t immediately feel like they are being labeled with a personality disorder and then close down and don’t engage or consider it any further… 🙏🏻

they indeed have interesting ways to handle a situation. Instead of taking accountability and come up with some reasonable solutions, they disrespectfully belittle ppl for taking a problematic situation caused by the narc as serious issue. Then when they are facing the guilt, they crawl back to their enablers who don't even know the situation any better and will just side with the narc, reinforcing their bs behavior and put all blame on the other person. I cant imagine how is a narc supposed to get better in such dynamic.

My narc tendencies are on high alert here. I am not the kind of person who does bad things, but I used to elaborate on stories-my 6:30 mile became a 6 minute mile, etc. Lee is right, I had to stop lying to myself and just say that I did 6:30. And that is what invited me to stop bs-ing around.

You said something the other day about how you do a mental check before you react, is this person trying to help or harm me... that was super helpful... I don't know if you have any other tricks to reframe your thinking, but if you do, I'd love to hear them. (Great video) ❤

If everyone would heed this advice the world would be a much better place. People are living lonely miserable lives, carrying shame they often didn’t earn or deserve but they don’t believe they can get away from under that shame. My faith leads me to believe it’s spiritual bondage but I also believe it’s mental instead of taking accountability They behave in ways which create more shame which leaves them feeling broken and hopeless. I’m praying that many will find the courage to accept your words not as criticism but as wisdom that could set their lives on the trajectory of peace and security they never had. Peace seems to be what they’re longing for most of all. I lost the love of my life to narcissistic behavior and no amount of love I showed would ever be enough to fill the void in his heart. It just grew and over time I became an emotional punching bag until I couldn’t take it any longer. Even now, I still love him and miss him so much but the cycle of abuse was endless and I take accountability for allowing that to continue for years😢

Nor do your parents get to pick you BUT they have to take accountability and set the example as best as they can. When parents, exes, besties, whoever fails and makes you unhappy, then you have to do it for them, for yourself!❤ Being happy is a decision.

I'm tryna figure how to put it into words. parents have an obligation to their kids. for 18 years then the kids gets blamed shamed and booed at 4 not knowing what to do how to look after themselves or anything and keep making catastrophc errors that could ve and should've been avoided. their parents are both perfectly capable of homeownership, have good credit. but won't help their kids bcuz they're "bad with money" and can't be trusted 2 spend it responsibly. 😢took me til this year 2 understand I'd been played

@Smith, S. StochasticS I feel you. Putting it into words, whether it's financial abuse or any of the others, is part of the challenge. What you feel and do today will change, and you will become more aware of it, even when it's hard to accept. Resentment leaves a bad taste and is a natural emotion. But letting go of their mistakes little by little can take you to healthier places if you choose. Some pitfalls ahead, but never give up! You got this!
