I used this video for update 3.1.4 what I struggled with understanding to help others. Step one download to computer next plug in a formatted flash drive - extract the folder to flash drive-go to folder in flash drive open the folder select all the files and "Cut" them from the main folder and paste them back into the flash drive so they are not a sub-file delete the now empty update folder. plug in flash to kronos select global button/then basic screen tab, then in the upper right screen dropdown tab select update system files. you should be good to go.

Hey narfsounds when I downloaded the 3.1.3 update, the release notes file KRONOS_3_1_3_Release_Notes_E1.pdf was not part of the 3.1.3 update folder, where is this file, I want to see what new features and bug fixes where done, narfsounds can you help me out please.

Thank you very much. The Manual for the update/restore was wrong. So I tapped the devil out of this exit button and nothing helped. It was simply a menu item...

Peteris Krumings one is a Kronos 1 the other is a Kronos 2.

Thanks for the reply, the lcd displays fine and sometimes does work but the screen is cracked, do you think I can get away with just replacing the screen or both the lcd and screen need to be replaced?

Hello. Thank you for this video it helped! I do have a question though. My friend brought his kronos 2 to my house, I updated the kronos using your video it worked. Then I copy/pasted my middle eastern sounds from my kronos to his, and for some reason. A lot of the sounds are not working correctly or not playing at all. Can this be because my kronos is still the older os? And it needs to be updated as well? Also, if I update my kronos will I lose my sounds? Thank you for your help!

It’s more likely that samples for those sounds were not loaded correctly. The OS will not delete sound data.

No, you need the DVD 📀 rescue disks and install them with a DVD drive

You have to copy just the CONTENTS of the folder and not the folder itself onto the USB. It’s usually where people commit the mistake.

@@ShakaAeris no you don't. You can go ahead and update to the current OS. I hold online lessons in my site in case you need a bit of tech support or understanding some "how to's" on the Kronos.

It could be your USB stick itself as well. The Kronos is picky with them.

Blair Chisholm this happens when some files are missing when transferring the files to the USB. Also, it could be during the unzipping process the tar.gz file gets unzipped as well and messes up the process.

Yes. The OS applies to ALL versions of the Kronos.
