When we started our game I the gm made sure everybody made their choice of a note to write when they died. So we started with a paladin, bard, necromancer, druid and a spell traveller me as a gm I had never heard of that, the class the person mentioned said if he had mana when dead he could go between worlds, that sounded too unreal for DnD on my end then I asked if their were Conditions and he said the condition to bring him back was half of the party's mana. Everybody agreed to it and made a Condition between us he had a world where everyone could train to their fullest and level up, the Condition where just that half their health and equipment were damaged, when we began our journey as players and gm clearing dungeons and having fun I had fun making it hard for them and they fun clearing it, spell traveller went to the other world numerous times between with and without them. Then it felt for me they used it as a storage for health and mana potions when I noticed it I felt I had made a stupid decision getting his class allowed into the game we played I as a gm made a plan over the next year, next week I made sure they had fun and the next three months, I made it impossible for the Spell traveller to use his storage world with only allowing him to go into it when in town, then I let him use it for nearly 9 months, then I said as the world of DnD the two worlds has merged together as 1 he literally said it was unfair I just said the mana threads of both worlds had merged because of the interactions, his mouth didn't say anything after that, then they began their fight with the last boss just as I was the gm I made it so hard they died and were sat in limbo but returned after a hundred years their equipment were badly damaged and the boss stood their as time never had moved and to their surprise they had died with the last swing of their attack and the boss last swing as he died and turned stiff with an immortal body of death. They were stunned and returned to their homes the end.

I will talk about my favorite character, York (spelt Yoq) played him in a 4E game called Revenge of the Giants, york was a stoic half orc barbarian who went to hell and back to save his party and in the end fought a primordial and won but at great cost, he lost a party member who was beyond saving even with a wish spell. Now for the part I am excited about, it has been 5 real years since I played York ( honorary stormcloak now) and a friend will be starting a 5E game in which I will be playing York's (clone? Construct? Warforged?) Daughter Sol ( York wished for a female child of himself, so him but as a baby that he could raise) and unknown to Sol she has a twin (not wished into being but built by a gnome and think T-800 style but physically 20 y.o.) named Hart (get it, York's heart and soul) who feels like her dad replaced her and has a huge hard on for killing Sol. Zmey was once an adventurer who was captured by Yuan-ti with his companions and underwent the ritual of transformation, but something went awry and Zmey was the only one that survived while his friends either died or became Broodguards. So Zmey is a Yuan-ti Dragonborn, and his madness stems from the fact he lacks emotion and would do anything to feel that little bit of glee again... which right now only happens when he kills people... so he makes that process as long and painful as possible.

OK I don't care that this video is 4 months old I am sharing my favorite NPC I made. I was early into dnd only have participated in about 4-5 sessions because my best friend was dm and wanted a different voice for some new NPCs and I was his best choice according to him. So he got me hooked then that campaign ended. I was invited to play as a player and gladly accepted. So I made a level five half-orc barbarian because I love being a unstoppable force. Then we never played because on member became a father and another left leaving only me and one other player. I decided that wasn't the end of my new character named Feng. He slowly gained a story that to this day grows. I then took the rains of being DM and decided to start from ground up new gods everything. I decided my players would effect everything. In my first campaign I made the party has been hired by the king of the dragon born kingdom to help expand his kingdom to a new continent where he has been struggling to gain for months. upon arrival they find a small city which has a bad goblin problem and five guards one of which is so wounded he can't fight for at least 6 days. After the 5th day another ship arrives with mass amount of guards, royal guards, and Feng. Feng then helps them out through the whole thing progressing with them. They eventually are contacted by the gods and Feng becomes a holy warrior. After they build about 6 new cities they find a city of half-orcs and learn of Feng's past. He used to be the son of the half-orc general in the half-ork kingdom but unlike his father he became a amazing blacksmith. Then the kingdom was wiped out for being impure by elves. After he fights for his home and is wounded he was sold into slavery. The human who bought him was a gladiator master who bought slaves to fight in the kingdom gladiator wars which prevented large wars (Half-orc kingdom didn't join in on it) Feng then forged his signature weapon to use in the arena his two handed great axe With in half-orc language "Pride" carved into the axe. He then fought for 6 years in the arenas but then it all changed when he fought for the humans against the dragon born kingdom. The dragon born king watched him fight and kill 7 dragon born with ease and offered to no longer wage war if he could have Feng. The humans agreed and Feng now fought for a new kingdom so he thought. The king eventually makes Feng his right hand man in future wars since shortly after he was traded the kingdoms went back to old ways of war. Feng led the armies of the dragon born to victory against the kingdom of the elves then was sent to help the party. He then realized the party came across what was left of the half-orc kingdom and all the armor and weapons he made so many years back for they tried to concur this land as well. Then the dragon born king dies of old age and his son who hates Feng since he is not dragon born takes over. Eventually the party find them making a decision to either fight for the new king or there friend Feng if they choose the king they kill Feng and the campaign ends. But if they choose the work with Feng they sail home and destroy a entire kingdom within a few days because the people love and respect Feng over their new king overthrowing him and following Feng. And there are a few different endings depending on their decisions but that is the story of my favorite NPC Feng who was supposed to be my first ever character I ever played but then becomes a king and in my next campaign I am throwing a twist at my players but I am just saying there is going to have to be a video about Feng for me to tell the rest. Sorry😂

In one of my worlds, there's a "Great Desert" in the eastern end of the continent we'd nearly fleshed out... AND it was truly immense, so vast that during clan-wars, the dead were often scavenged for body fluids with which to make "desert wine" for moisture. It's only mildly alcoholic (depending on who's brewing the stuff) tastes horrible, but is better than the great amounts of very dry nothing otherwise in the wastelands... Quite a few clans actually sailed their carts rather than depend on beasts of burden. It allowed for travel both day and night, and they didn't have the extra mouths to feed and water (a precious advantage over anyone who did)... ...AND of course, there were a few bands of "pirates" to keep the Players on their toes. ;o)
@kaijukojin43714 жыл бұрын
Uhhh... don't remind me about desert crossings... My DM allowed the most grotesque thing I ever came up with and I regret doing it too... Our party had to cross this desert that was "so vast camels die halfway through" We couldn't fly, couldn't sail, I had no idea what the DM wanted us to do... when I remembered a troll cave with about 30 trolls in it. So we hired a bunch of guards and captured all 30 trolls. Now... I plan in phases, and I know our DM, so I anticipated fuckery. The PLAN was to use the trolls as a sort of convoy to carry supplies since their regeneration makes for great pack mules and with 30 of them pulling the carts and wagons would surely be enough troll power to make the 2-month track. month and a half in, everything was going fine, when a sandstorm hit... and destroyed all of our supplies. Party was screaming at me, about how this was all my fault. I proceeded to hack off the arm of a troll and toss it on the fire. once it was roasted, had our cleric cast purify food on it. ... we made it the rest of the way. There was a reason I made sure to capture all 30 trolls, I wanted to make sure we had an unlimited supply of food, and there was no possible way all 30 trolls would be limbless at one time. (Troll blood can be purified into water btw) Everyone agreed we never speak about the trip again. (sorry guys!)

@@kaijukojin4371 Got indoctrinated to the brewing of "desert wine" myself... It was an abomination... supposedly tasted like a fetid worcestershire with alcoholic overtones... Captured kobolds among other semi-humanoids in the region to feed them salt and hold them for about a day... and then follow them (once broken free) to a water or other moisture source. I've long allowed at least the ingenuity to build and sail a cart across the desert... but that's just me. I figure the average wind-speeds and coverage over ground, and go from there. ;o)

Surprise Checks? Excuse me? Plate Armor takes 5 minutes to doff in D&D, there is absolutely no way they should have been surprised by the Gnome after he took of his armor, because that would have taken a WHILE. Also, in one turn, the Gnome Barbarian slammed his head into the Paladin, picked them up, and then slammed them into the floor, making them drop their weapons?!?! I don't know what kind of BS rules that DM has, but they definitely made the party feel worthless for DARING to try to stop a group of bandits. They also don't seem to understand the "Rule of Cool" because he clearly was having them make several checks to try and get onto the boat. 1, an acrobatics check to get out of the stirrups, 2, an animal handling check to keep the horse controlled, and 3, another acrobatics check to get onto the land boat.

while it seems fine all things considered, usually, you don't have an npc drop to zero health and stay conscious.

In this case it was the suits hit points. This is kinda like the new mythic creatures of theros. Where the first time you bring them down activates a mythic form new power and full hp.
@kaijukojin43714 жыл бұрын
Hellgore's suit is non-magical, mechanical clockwork. The best way I can describe it is fly by wire, where everything is using his natural might to power the suit. It's well balanced, but I wanted to make it seem like normal armour if anyone casts detect magic on it.

@Taven034 жыл бұрын
There are lots of ways to play. You can look up local game shops that usually host groups. You can check out a website called (D&D Beyond) which makes finding groups and building characters much easier.

Also, go to world anvil. I'm hosting my campaign there, and you can see many that are in session right now. Just simply ask around and I'm sure someone will be more than happy to help you.

Hey Aubible team. The more you get tubers to push your service, the more i will actively avoid you. If you have to pay people to spread your service then it tells me your service suck. If your service is good, then it will carry it self by the word of the customers.

Ok, he's cool af. But making an enemy appear out of his armor AFTER taking him down to 0 Hp is cheap. It feels like the bad guys are the main characters and the party is just their to be the NPCs. How did the party respond to having their asses whopped?
@kaijukojin43714 жыл бұрын
They enjoyed the encounter. They only lost their pocket change in the end and made a vow to keep a lookout for him and to bring him to justice. The paladin has a healthy respect for him, but his pride was hurt and he will want a rematch. He agrees the second attack was a cheap shot, but He should have expected such trickery from a barbarian, even if he is a gnome. In the end, the party had a blast. Everyone still got some XP.

So the player characters beat the BIG BAD and the DM just cheated them out of their victory. I'd never use an overpowered broken piece of crap Villain who even after being beaten the DM just says No he wins anyways.

@@spademagna2672 That just makes it worse. Let the players have their win don't tease them by pretending you are going to let them have a cool ship if they win a hard challenge then take it away.
@kaijukojin43714 жыл бұрын
@@mikiiforpert6083 The players weren't going to try and get a cool ship, and the session wasn't in their favour. Most of the choices they made were not the brightest one, especially with the scenario I planned. Just to be clear, this wasn't a railroad encounter. This was a sort of one offside quest they went on. If they wanted to pursue the Vikings they could. Usually, they would follow something that big, stay out of sight, and wait till they camp. It's a strategy they've used countless times, so I had mapped out the boat and the encounter like it was fully manned and on it's way back from a haul. But our paladin got the wrong idea and charged in. Most of the party's rolls failed badly. Most of the paladin's intimidation checks boffed as well, it was just a bad night for the players in general with it. I was rather proud of the paladin's fighting. Hellgore is an honourable gnome, so he didn't use the dragon's breath. (there are 2 bellows filled with oil in his shoulders that shoots a flamethrower out of his hand.) One thing I did include is a "hastily constructed" feature with the armour since he's not a fully trained gnome, most of his gnome works have a 20% chance of failure and 10% of explosive failure per-use.
@mikiiforpert60834 жыл бұрын
@@kaijukojin4371 The ideas weren't bad. The gm gave them a plot hook to stop the bandits the party tried but the dice were against them. As for getting the ship the gm dangled that in front of them by having the bandit leader challenge the paladin to a one on one fight saying that he would be in charge if he won. The player won solo against a boss the whole party was supposed to fight then the gm takes that away.
@craigtucker12904 жыл бұрын
I would agree that the whole scenario is implausibly broken, even for D&D because apparently the gnome's armor wasn't magical, just clockwork, same with the land ship as far as I can tell. Neither the suit or land ship would be feasible or functional in our world so by default they shouldn't be in D&D without magical assistance. It just comes off as completely lacking verisimilitude of any kind, but it seems that isn't a priority or important with this group so much as having this kind of fun, which apparently they had. It's just that this "type" of game is not for everyone and some players demand more realism and believability in their games. D&D accommodates all types, even the absurdly ridiculous ones.
