First Edition rules in the module I owned had a chapter for this story. There is no winning or losing in D&D. It is an ongoing saga. If your character dies, simply roll a new one up. My very Christian mother was scared to let me play until I highlighted and showed her THOSE very words. It took her by surprise that I had dispelled the myths about the game openly.
@AliceIzuragi62914 жыл бұрын
the title reminds me of doom and destiny where a guy named destiny tricked death into playing D&D and has become immortal because as per the deal. death cant claim his soul until he beats him in D&D. but you cant beat the dungeon master.
@MrThedud334 жыл бұрын
But you can! Not been paying attention to all stories? In one of the stories the player basically becomes the DM through ingenious playing.
@AliceIzuragi62914 жыл бұрын
@@MrThedud33 i know that but i guess i didnt bring that up with my explanation. however tho what if the person has never even heard of D&D before. they probably wouldnt even attempt with when they have the thought in mind of "beating" the dm. when you try to beat something. usually you dont try to become them. and that is how destiny has kept death playing doom and destiny for so long. also speaking of that game it has a shit ton of references.
