Baldric treating Beetle like a younger sibling must mean that either the main group has started to soften his cranky heart. Or finally getting away from those chuckle heads and the chance to kill more tyrant guild members has put him in a happy mood. Or at least as happy as Baldric can be. Also it is a shame Speaker D had to bow out. I think that character would have been perfect for him to play.

After the Tyrant's Guild is destroyed and Outset liberated, Beetle should run for President of Outset and assemble a cabinet of various guild leaders, religious community leaders, and some former nobles. I feel like he would actually be pretty well suited to overseeing the cultural transition from an aristocracy to presumably a semi-democratic republic.

When I was watching rotgrind I was so looking forward to an emotional regrouping moment as they caught Baldric up on everything. Now I have further context that the goofy side adventure actually went pretty smoothly and pleasently (by rotgrind standards) If it was a prewritten thing itd be the perfect set up softening up the more grumpy and reserved character Which just makes it all the more hilarious and infurating that they immediately started eating his drywall or whatever
