There has to be a complication called " I think you will find- " that just makes it so that Earndil is given control over an enemy NPC for one move and has to make them be as malicious AF like he did in episode 9, or that he interrupts someone else's turn and makes them screw up horribly at no cost of his hero dice because it's a complication that's screwing up the person that rolled a 1. If he rolls it, he has to just screw up whatever he's attempting in spectacular fashion. has to be there somewhere.

In this episode, our characters have to deal with their personal trauma and come to grips with their purpose in this world. And then it turns into Oceans 11 for half an hour.

I recommend Pipe Dreamers on the World of Io KZbin channel then. They constantly manage to crack me up for similar reasons. My favorite example to tell people is the time they were meeting a group of convicts to exchange information and they set up this whole shitty plan about how they'd send out 2 people to talk, 2 people would be hiding as an ambush party, and 3 people as a 2nd ambush party. They brought a bush into the bar where the meeting was taking place for them to "hide" in. They punched a hole in the wall next to the bush "so that they'll be too distracted by the hole to notice the bush" 😂 They said if things started to look sketchy, they'd rub the back of their neck to signal the ambush party to jump out. Then, the enemy will lower their guard because the ambush party is purposefully the least intimidating members. That's when, "BOOM, SECOND AMBUSH PARTY!" hahahaha

Complication ideas: Poorly packed gear The player didn't pack their gear correctly causing them to stumble, they take a -X penalty to agility roles and must spend one action to fix their gear. Can also be interpreted as their pants falling down. Poor swordsmanship The player misses their target with a melee weapon and gets it stuck in the environment. They must make a strength check to retrieve their weapon. Alchemical Mixup (Baldric specific) In the heat of combat Baldric grabs the wrong vial. Roll to select a random alchemist weapon that he throws instead. Personal hygiene The player has neglected to keep themselves hygienic. NPCs will immediately stop the conversation and attempt to walk away or remove the player from an establishment. (Rehua variant) Recent combat has caused detritus to stick to your bark making you look very trashy. Lovecraftian Tree (Rehua specific) Upon failing a healing test the vines will not only damage the chatacter but terrify them. Make an appropriate roll to avoid becoming panicked. Uncle Blaze's touch If the player is standing close to a fire uncle blaze causes the fire to jump to them setting them on fire.

I have a homebrew magic item for ruhua The mace of striking love Damage is up to you It increases reputation with the character or monster by 2 but the fact it is a weapon it reduces reputation by 2 so they target someone else for a second There is a curse to it even a miss subtracts reputation so they target the wealder

Wait didn't royalty go missing lately and the head of the tyrant skilled lady seems to be cutting to all of her ties to the tyrant's guild by sending all her employees home or firing them and releasing the prisoners and the person in the building they are trying to break into is famous for holding large gallas or parties if they're still there maybe it's something longer than a party maybe she's forcely marrying into the Royal family and then pushing the guest into the pit so now I can say the wedding was forced? I know it's a crazy and stupid idea but I'm just throwing theories I love this show
