I think one of the first things I would do on this lovely property, is to get my medicinal herb garden started. So important for self sufficientcy, maintaining health and prevention/treatment of illnesses. Great for veterinary issues, too! ❤️

It's actually more likely that Dagger is starting to teach Cloak and Katana how to hunt. The mother at first brings dead prey, then later on brings weakened prey to teach them that that's food and how to kill it. Dagger full on embraced the motherhood which is beyond adorable ❤

Your yards nice. I love being able to share in your homestead. ❤😊 Jen if you take the done flowers off the petunias it makes the plants get bigger. I tried to grow from the seeds that come from the flowers I didn't get to in time but the growing season in Wisconsin isn't long enough. Maybe were you're it will work. I wish we could get out of the major city....so we live vicariously through you guys for now 😁😁😁 Oh, Will and Jesse's pups are still real young. I don't think they've never seen a cat so Katana, Cloak and Dagger will be a surprise. The pups did good with the chickens and ducks so I'm sure the cats will teach them a thing or two about boundaries but they'll fall in line. So excited for this summer so many fun things to do.

To keep my chickens out of my garden I got 2 foot tall hog wire. And just put it in a circle around it. There’s no rail at the top and chickens aren’t good at jumping straight up and over so it’s kept them out pretty well. And it’s short enough that I can just step over it.
