Hi, bathroom looks great, much better and more contemporary. Tip for you, frog tape is so quick and easy to apply. Gives good clean straight edges when you peel it off, about £4 a roll from Amazon, give it a try on your next project. Great video 👍

Have you tried using a Traffic Film remover ?caimancardetailing.com/blogs/news/what-is-traffic-film-remover-and-how-to-use-it-on-your-car Years ago we would use T Cut and with a great deal of rubbing and polishing we could get car paintwork looking like new, now there are far better products ! I would start off by giving the Traffic Film remover a try on the side of the tray where it is not too conspicuous and see how it goes, I doubt if it will mark the shower tray as makers will have to take into account it could be used on GRP car bodies. I personally think the discolouring could possibly be caused by oxidation or maybe contaminants in the air from the solid fuel fire or possibly something in the water. If you need more suggestions please let me know. Peter.

You could also, if you wanted, change your sink taps for something a little more modern, but the originals look pretty good to me. Be interesting to see how long the tile paint lasts. I’ve never used any.

The shower tiles look like grey granite now - very nice. Did you use masking tape around the sink? I would use a spatula to clear off the excess black on the edges.

Nice job. 👍 Paint will never stick to silicon and always remove vents/light switches etc before you paint. Then refit them when the paint is dry. It saves alot of time in the long run. Good job though. Looks alot better.

I think keeping the Thetford is a good move at the moment, certainly until the CRT clarifies exactly what the future holds for "composters" Small question, what are the "bolt heads" sticking out of the side and top of the boat than can be seen at the beginning of the video?

Liveaboard Lifestyle agreed about toilet choice. Thetfords seem practical inexpensive option. I know everyone raves about composting but idea doesn’t appeal to me but I was curious to know if incinerator toilets any good. They are very expensive at the moment I assume because not made in large numbers but seem very convenient. Your bathroom is certainly looking much fresher just proves with good design flare and hard work you can spend a small amount of money and get a brilliant result . Happy boating 😊

I know everyone talks about running the engine or using the immersion heater for hot water (I don't know if back boilers are available in the solid fuel fires boaters use) but have you checked out vacuum tubes ? They are far more efficient than the old Black pipe type, they are sold as Evacuated Tube solar water heating. If you would like to know more about them, click on the URL I have pasted below. www.solarpanelsplus.com/all-about-solar/evacuated-tubes-or-flat-plates/ I don't know if they are available in different diameters as I remember some videos showed very little clearance between the bridge underside and the narrowboat roof.

Thank you 😊 yes, it is the original wood and I didn’t want to paint it as once I’ve painted it I would need to keep re doing it and as it has lots of storage on it, it will keep chipping off.

very nice, just one thing though, on the wooden doors in the bathroom you have grooves to simulate panelling, had you considered black stripes in those grooves as i think that would look fantastic
