Great job on that! And yes, I think plumbing parts were deliberately made so you would have to go back to the store three or four times, give up, then call a plumber! And I'm waiting for someone to make a video making an entire shower stall out of Flex-Seal :)

That's a fantastic job. I like the idea of using one-piece panels rather than tiles. I don't know if you have already done it, but I make sure to have the waste pipe from the pump loop above the overboard skin fitting just in case a leaky lock tries to fill the shower tray from the outside.

Your drill was fine! You had the torque reduction clicked on. You can turn it to the drill setting and it won’t click like that. It’s meant to reduce torque so you don’t strip out threads and such. That being said, a mains run drill is more powerful. Great project and how cool that you’re doing it yourselves. ❤️🇺🇸

A bathroom is a big project in a house where in theory at east walls are straight and you have enough room to move around. Well done on getting the shower done. I really like the panels rather than tiles, just a bit surprised at the choice to use a curtain rather than doors. We changed to having doors on the showers in our house because it was impossible to keep all water in the shower with a curtain. I guess you have a bilge pump to deal with any spillages. In a house it is going to leak through to damage plaster work and more downstairs. Looking forward to see you doing the doors since they will not be easy rectangles like in a house. Ryan, you seriously lucked out by finding a wife who can not only do work in the engine bay but also use power tools. Also the fact that she is willing to live in an on-going project, especially putting up with no functioning bathroom for the duration of this project. Make a note about how blessed you are so you never forget! (Advice from someone who has been married over 30 years.)

I could understand your pain but you got there in the end and it looks great. I’ve improved my shower but been unable to fit a standard size tray, as that would involve remodelling the whole shower room. All the best Alan x

Hi guys, great vlog as usual. That old tile wall was a real mess and I had shudders seeing you handle all that mold without at least some gloves or form of respirator! That is bad stuff, guys! The new shower looks just so much better. I wish I could convince my Boss to rip out our old dilapidated tile walls and replace them with Tilux or something similar. They were daggy when we moved in back in 92 and the years have not improved them one little bit. She just doesn't seem interested but it really HAS TO GO! When you are planning just how long a DIY task will take I have always found a good rule of thumb is this simple formula; when n = time you expect it to take: 2n to the power of n. LOL!!!! Take care of yourselves and above all, keep having fun!
