Your friendly (annoying) neighborhood Live Service man here! I will never not be fascinated by how the single player gamer (not a derogatory term) views Live Service multiplayer. It's almost like we're speaking two entirely different languages. The "Horizon franchise fatigue" topic is basically irrelevant to multiplayer gamers. IP is not important to us. We didn't play PUBG because the IP fascinated us. We didn't play Fortnite because the IP fascinated us. We didn't play Rocket League because the IP fascinated us. IP is almost a meaningless topic in terms of how a game is going to perform. We engage with games for hundreds / thousands of hours because of the game mechanics and systems design, not because of characters and plot. I do enjoy listening to your perspective, because it's so foreign to me, but I can't wrap my head around the idea that 4 Horizon games in an 8 year span (one of which no one played - VR) is too much. Great show as usual. Keep it up!

I think IP CAN come into play, but I can definitely see what you mean. As you say, it's the difference between what we are looking for in a game and while some games definitely aim to straddle that line, like Destiny, MP primary games definitely are aiming for something completely different. But Call of Duty definitely carries more weight as a MP IP than something new like xDefiant, you know? - B
