For years i've been told to watch this anime and for some reason i didn't think i'd enjoy it. Now, finally i was convinced thanks to my friends and i got to say, BOY WAS I WRONG! I've decided to make it my first anime reaction series on this channel. This is the first time I am watching Naruto so please no huge spoilers, however some foreshadowing might be forgiven! Grab some popcorn and enjoy!

@According to Lucky what you set at 19:31 is correct it does not make sense that itachi and kisame would lose to jiraya when ororchimaru posibly the strongest sanin baced on flashbacks says that ITACHI IS STRONGER THAN HIM. so the only logical conclusion you can come up with is either that orochimaru or itachi were lying, now for me orochimaru had no reason to lie to kabuto about itachis power because we know he wanted hes body and that he left the organaization BECAUSE he could not take hes body, thats why he had to go after sasuke next. so this would make itachi the liar since we know that both him and kisame are s class criminals like orochimaru and it does not make sense that jiraya can beat BOTH OF THEM. so keep this in mind that itachi is a LIAR this is important.

Personally , I do not think that Jiraya can handle both Itachi and Kisame . I do not even know if he could win in a fight 1vs1 with Itachi . One thing is sure : Jiraya is a great ninja and fighting him would cause a lot of trouble to Itachi e Kisame . Spoiler alert Jiraiya is stronger than Itachi. Its just that there are too many Itachi fanboys. Jiraiya is clearly the strongest Sannin. The only reason Orochimaru could defeat Sarutobi(one of the strongest Kage in shinobi history) was because he was too old. The thing about Orchimaru is that he is kinda unkillable but not one of the strongest which people assume. Pain mentioned they would not have won against Jiraiya if he didn't have the secret of his six paths. I wouldn't say Jiraiya would have won but would not be killed. Naruto beat Pain only because of intel, Nagato using too much chakra and Nine tails outburst. Itachi is final Kakashi level at most.

The way that Itachi talks about Jiraiya can be confusing once you've watched the series through. What I think is most likely is that Itachi is saying if he were to fight Jiraiya in his current state it would probably not go well for him. Of course, we're not 100% sure that Itachi knows the full scope of Jiraiya's powers either. A lot of fans seem to also forget that there were 2-3 years between now and Shippuden, and that Itachi's powers did both increase yet decrease at the same time over those years. You'll probably see a lot of people in the comments saying that Itachi was lying or something to that effect, and sorry but those people are just, well, wrong. In Itachi's mind, this was probably how he felt about a potential fight between himself and Jiraiya.

@@SpieleSuchti894 I was more referring to the fact that Itachi had just used the Tsukuyomi against Kakashi, and we know (Kisame even mentioned it) that using the Tsukuyomi takes a lot out of him and has an obvious negative effect on his eyes. Itachi would be fighting Jiraiya and he would not be at 100% strength.

@@neos5432 SPOILERS: Itachi and Orochimaru being stronger than Jiraiya are complete myths that people make without any good evidence in its favor. Kisame said he wasn't sure he could beat Jiraiya and that said Jiraiya's on another league. This is the same Kisame who beat a 8 Tailed Killer Bee and forced Guy to enter the 7th Gate and yet with Itachi ran away from Jiraiya. Itachi himself says they would kill each other or harm each other badly. The argument that Itachi was lying is also a myth. The databooks prove Itachi and Jiraiya are on equal footing as both stats overall are completely equivalent. People make up an excuse saying Itachi lied despite the fact that this was never stated to be a lie and is proven wrong by the official databooks, moreover Itachi murdered his clan and murdered the Jinchuriki Gaara while extracting the the Tailed Beast and other Tailed Beasts which people conveniently forget. So isn't adverse to capturing and killing a Tailed Beast to keep guise. Moreover Nagato himself said Jiraiya couldn't beat him had he known about him, this is the same Nagato who had Deva Path to seal up the 8 Tailed Naruto and who Naruto with Sage Mode alone couldn't defeat. Orochimaru was easily beaten by Itachi and couldn't stop nor harm 4 Tailed Naruto. Moreover the Rasengan is based off the Bijuu bomb and Orochimaru admitted the 4 Tailed Bomb which left a crater would have killed him yet Jiraiya's Sage Mode Massive Rasengan is stated in the official databooks to be able to carve away a mountain. Moreover as we learn when Sasuke gets his abilities Orochimaru cannot keep regenerating as it consumes chakra. Both Itachi's and Orochimaru's pale in comparison to Jiraiya's (Itachi 2.5/5, Orochimaru 3.5/5, Jiraiya 5/5 as listed in the official databooks. This is especially important as Orochimaru cannot keep regenerating and Itachi must hit his target as he cannot use the Mangekyo much). Jiraiya can seal the flames of Amaterasu and in Sage Mode doesn't need to even glare into Itachi's eyes as he can use Sage Mode's enhanced sensing, moreover he has toads that can be extra eyes for him and attack Itachi in multiple angles and ways which will also be a great help against Susanoo. He also has many attacks to slow down opponents including acid, Toad Mouth Trap, and Dark Swamp. He can seal also in a barrier people like Orochimaru and Genjutsu them with Demonic Illusion: Gamarinsho and with power strong enough by himself to carve away a mountain Jiraiya is easily one of the strongest, certainly stronger than Orochimaru and at least equal to Itachi.

It's just that Jiraiya is a much more uncomfortable opponent than Orochimaru for Itachi. They are all around same level( Strong Kage level and Itachi is a little higher, maybe), but Jiraiya can give Itachi very good battle.

Of course, Itachi can be said to be a very strong Kage and stronger than most Kage, but this is for the biggest fans who like to argue who is stronger: 2 Tsuchikage or 2 Hokage. Itachi is certainly stronger than Orochimaru, but this is not a different level.

Yes they're Kage but that's simply because there's no other title one can really give for them and you would need to keep giving them different ranks. I love when you stop the video to say what's in your mind (theories, questions, etc). The way I interpret what Itachi said about Jiraya is that he simply doesn't want to fight him. Not because he's afraid or something, but rather that he's an extremely intelligent and calculated person, not taking any unnecessary risks. I have another reason why he avoid to fight him, but it'd be major spoiler, so .. Also, I might be wrong. Maybe after you finish seeing Itachi's and Jiraya's full stories you can give a better analysis about them, because I see you catch a lot of what's going on, while I got a lot of info right over my head when I watched this, cuz I was a kid and just enjoyed the show without thinking 😂😂

Also how sweet was it that after learning his brother is back Sasuke was more worried about Naruto's well being than his actual revenge. The Jiraiya flashback was a highlight as well, it's funny to see how he saw Orochimaru as a rival just like Naruto sees Sasuke and how Tsunade's got that same hot blooded temper that Sakura has.

power scailing in naruto is not same for all characters i.e if two ninja are fighting having equal amount of power and stamina then their chakra nature plays a significant role in determining the outcome of their battle for example if a fire and wind nature ninja are fighting then the fire nature would probably win as wind just magnifies the fire similarly if water and fire style ninja are fighting then water style ninja would probably win. so thats why oorichimaru can be defeated by itachi but at the same time he can be on par with hokage and jiraya and itachi who can defeat oorochimaru be defeated by jiraya.

I've been binge watching your videos for a good week now, you are definitely my favourite reactor I've ever seen for Naruto. You're the most expressive, funny, and empathetic to the characters and story, and you're just plain cute. ❤️ I will say that I'm glad you addressed the spoiler issue, it's been concerning me in the comments as each episode has gone on. I really hope your friend who looks at them for you is super super strict though. There are a bunch I've seen you reply too which I still think spoil/foreshadow too much. A lot of people like to write stuff which can foreshadow or indirectly give you information and it will still be a MASSIVE spoiler, and they know it. You're a smart guy, it won't take you long to put two and two together. And then there goes hundreds of episodes of build up and character development. Huge plot twists and events will be completely ruined for you. Also as you said, please be careful with some of the questions that you ask your audience to answer, a lot of them are big reveals for later. Best not to give the green light to people who are dying to spoil it for you. Sorry for the longness, just want you to enjoy the series genuinely like you have been doing so far! Love ya. 😊

Glad you addressed this spoiler stuff again. I don't think people need to worry so much about your channel, if someone gives something they don't think is spoiler or a big deal as it will hype you but your friends might disagree that's perfect because one doesn't need to worry about maybe I should edit that out or not and just try their best. Jiraiya is as strong as Itachi as Itachi stated (it irks me when people falsely claim otherwise). The one they're looking for is the little blonde girl in the flashback (who is ofc an adult now) a Sannin with Jiraiya and Orochimaru for the Hokage position as he trains Naruto and watches over him. I really enjoy your videos and personally don't have problems with the way you express yourself. I guess, some people maybe more used to reactors giving their thoughts after they've already finished watching, like afterthought section, don't know how to put it in English, hope you get what I mean. But for me it's easier to follow when you pause in the middle of watching to comment on certain scene. To be honest, I myself only recently started to watch Naruto and haven't gone through all of the Shippuden yet, though I still watch reactions on episodes I've seen since I easily get obsessed over stuff. I never expected that I would be so in love with an anime series because I'm quite far from being an anime fan, but here I am, commenting on the Naruto reaction video. Oh well, life is strange. Also, I wanted to mention that Naruto have great parallels. I loved the whole Gaara-Naruto-Sasuke thing. They share similarities, yet theirs personalities so different. And the parallels between Sannins and our team seven are also interesting.

Regarding that brief flashback Jiraiya had... You'll find soon enough that this show likes to have its complex lines of parent/teacher/student. Jiraiya was a student of the 3rd Hokage, who was implied (during the fight with Orochimaru) to have at least known the 1st and 2nd Hokages. Tsunade, his teammate is the woman they're looking for to offer her the position of 5th Hokage... Jiraiya also trained the 4th Hokage... I'll give you a hint that another character we know fits somewhere on this line, and it really connects the whole story together.

From what I've seen in most of your other videos, you seem to ask the question right as soon as the show answers your question in most cases. It was already showed that Jiraiya was a failure and Orochimaru was genius of the generation. And as adults Orochimaru spends all of his time inventing new jutsus where as Jiraiya is busy by tracking him, Akatsuki, writing books and having fun with bitches. Even if he also trains, there is no reason to put him above or even on par with Orochimaru. Jiraiya wouldn't drug them through the mud. Kisame is underestimating himself imo. And in case of Itachi I would need to go into details. But that line "Even if there were more of us, the result would still be the same" made me laugh. Jiraiya alone has nothin on whole Akatsuki.

I personally don't overthink about who's stronger between Jiraiya and Itachi 'cause I think that's pretty much subjective. But the Legendary Sannin are considered legendary for a reason the same way that Itachi and Kisame are considered S-rank criminals for a reason. Who's stronger doesn't have much to do with power levels (with few exceptions of course). It's more about the individual's specialties and personal weaknesses. The Legendary Sannin may be equally strong power-level wise, but with different specialties, Itachi might find one easy to defeat and find the other one to be a formidable foe. Saying which one is stronger is a matter of personal opinion, especially when the characters never engaged in a full-scale battle.
