Another reason why this game is considered better than the other storm games is not just because the UJ's looked more badass, but also because you were able to use UJ's in Awakening mode, walk on walls, and even do jutsu clashes. The other Storm games just feel stripped down in comparison. If they can bring back those awesome qualities of Storm 1 and implement them into Storm Revolution, we'll have ourselves one hell of a badass Storm game

I miss this game so much. This is still my favorite one to play vs all the others because I love the Ultimate Mission Mode so much better, I love the smoothness of the battles more, I love the jutsu clashes, i love the awakening ultimates, I love the option to play as the awakened version of a character throughout the entire battle, I just love how much effort they put into this, granted I don't have a PS4 so I can't get NSUNS4, I really wanna get it but I don't have a PS4, but the games after this just don't compare to this. This is iconic.

because they came out with some bull about taking too much time. so full of shit. this is still the best in the series hands down. look how many games they done and still ppl have the same moves since storm 1 how lazy is that. they really need to look at storm 1 and re create the new 1 with this in mind. i miss the ultimate jutsu when in awakened state. why do they rob characters of their own moves? they so caught up with telling everyone "OVER 100 CHARACTERS" yea right. give everyone their rightful move sets and stop cheating us by only updating certain characters. just plain lazy, And the cheek to remove a combo from everyone in storm 3. what a joke. The last CC2 game with creativity A time before there were just copies of characters in the roster because they removed the ability to equip certain jutsu and ultimates. When awakenings had ultimates of their own. When substitution wasn't easy as heck and required block timing. When ultimates, although toned down from the PS2 era, were still extravagant and awesome. When jutsu clash still existed. When they introduced wall combat, although meaningless, was a fun addition The best Storm game In contest with Ultimate Ninja 3 and Accel 2 as the best Naruto game When fighting games focus on online gameplay, they seem to tone down moves and get lazy with creativity. Happened with a few games. The later storm games make combos easier, substitution a heck of a lot easier, but with it's own bar improved support system. But that's really what number 2 added. Games after storm 2 are all the same, with new characters and maybe more team additions... Sad.

I see a lot of people complaining about how the UJ in Storm 2 and 3 don't look as awesome as the ones in 1. Well, I think it's fine and they should have done like that: if the UJ is performed while while the opponent still has lot's of HP, leave them like they are in 2 and 3. If the it will kill, then do those long, awesome Storm 1 UJs instead of those crappy flashback talk scenes. But then again, people will always find something to complain about and the games are still awesome~

Here's the thing though there's literally nothing different from these moves in Storm 1 and their Storm 3 counterparts other than some dropped frames, and unless you've played the game's enough you'd probably not be able to tell how these moves were altered. The fact that people seemingly aren't aware that Storm 1 was the last Narultimate Hero game to have input sequences when using UJ's hence part of the reason why they shortened some of those carried-over ultimate jutsu's from the first game is a testament to how ignorant some people are.

To people complaining about the UJ looking weaker in Storm 2/3 than Storm 1. Some of these same UJ are in the third game their just shortened. As for why they're shortened UJ had to be inputted a bit differently in Storm 1 than the other games which meant a lot of hassles for players using and attempting to cancel out their opponents UJ.

I can agree,this game is definatly one of the best naruto games so far. Now imagine if they combined the great aspects of this game (visual prowess, bosses, main events, many side missions, etc.) along with the story mode summing up the whole series greatly (not avoiding somewhat important events like certain battles during the war arc), it may take a while, but it will be worth the time.

I completely agree with you. Don't get me wrong; I love Storm 2 and G for Lars and then dream matches, but the animation and gameplay breathes more in this prequel: wall fighting, jutsu clashing, close-ups on character faces when hit with ultimate impacts, how the clothes and hair looks lifelike when characters do their ultimates, and the best story mode campaign ever since Rise of a Ninja and Broken Bond; clearly, this game had much more thought and effort poured into it.

@KyuubiMinato It's not because people spam, it's because the game promotes spamming. huge levels, chakra backdashing, quick chakra regeneration, the assists usable even when being comboed; it rewards that play style. And as far as the ougis? Most of Nuns2's ougis were taken from the psp title that came before it. Sasuke's chidori true spear looks like a normal jutsu for F's sake. There were only a few I thought were good, the rest were too quick or lost the scale of damage that was being done
