This is my favorite song from the album Nasir.....It is not about the turn up....the jewelry, designer clothes, women, and cars....Nas has rapped about that in the past and sometimes he still does in the present but this message was so important and deep...dude is rapping in a Dashiki and a Kufi...he is rapping about his identity as a Black Man who evolved over the years...the things he has seen...and experienced....meanwhile the video gives us a bird's eye view of a life that would be considered ordinairy...a Grandmother with a few health problems is raising two grandsons...where are the parents?!?.. Where is her husband?!?....it looks like these people are no longer living....the older one takes a surrogate parent role...there is alot of love and compassion in the household but in a few minutes, that older grandson loses his life in a foolish misunderstanding that involves his homies, a store owner, and the Police...the grandmother can sense something in the air....Tragedy has struck again!

This track did not only made me tear up but a lot of people don’t hear what nas is saying or people don’t give nas a lot of credit. I mean shit, this track made me tear up not cause I’ve been there, or seen it in person but because people who see the hood think that the people are dangerous or are criminals. And tbh that’s never gonna change. Cause people who are not from the streets or the hood, they’re always gonna see us different and will always assume that we’re doing something wrong. Nas is spitting real shit that happens in our daily lives. And I relate to the young man’s life. I basically don’t have parents cause they’re both addicts and I gotta take care of my two sisters and support them. I live in a dangerous community. And that’s the reason I like Nas, not because he’s a great MC but because he tells stories and says things that happen in our daily lives.

Nasty is different... He stands out .. He is very unique... He was sent by God to deliver a major important message....yet he is delivering it in his own way....., He's trying to ADD to unity and I'm not happy to say this world is so curupt today it's a struggle and delay towards the main important goal as to his songs Major Key.

Nasir I am 36 years old... You have been apart of my life for 20years. Man you just don't understand how important you are to me, and how many memories I have that your voice is the soundtrack to 💕 THANK YOU, sincerely.
