I know your comment is from a year ago but I’m watching this again for motivation. I’m a white dude and Nas’s music had helped me get my life back on track in the past. I know I can’t completely relate to all he says but I do on allot of levels. To me, this man is the true G.O.A.T. Been a fan since the BBQ days. One love.

I had just turned 18 when Illmatic came out. I'm from New Orleans and we were heavy into our "bounce" rap. Nationally, West Coast rap (Dre's Chronic, Snoop, Cube, etc) was killing everything. An older homie asked if I had heard a cat from NY named Nas. I hadn't. We jumped into his ride and BOOM...this brother's music has been with me since then. Through my growth and setbacks. My good. My bad. My smart. My stupid. My books. My streets. My solo prowl. My family man swag. Nas' music has grown with me and many others from our generation. Salute to you brother. It's been a great ride...many more miles to go. ✊🏽

I love that man. As ignorant as this may sound, Nas basically raised me. Father wasn’t around so he was a father figure to me. Each album was like a map, a guide or like a bible to me. Everything in his music resonated with me living in NY. I never rated his albums because like I said they were maps, filled with knowledge. I owe this man for the successful, level headed, woke, respectful person I’ve become. I never met him but thank you just in case he ever reads this comment. Thank you

' I'm looking at longevity's eyes, I play with infinity's mind, foreva's my guy' Nas is timeless, with this album and this film he just shot through the stratosphere. Long live in peace to you and your seeds King. Had the honor of shaking the man's hand in Amsterdam '05 'Street's Disciple' Concert front row. All the man ever needed was 'One Mic'. He still blowing out my speakers everyday for 2 decades. GOAT. Almost cried when this album came out after 5 long fucking years, that last scene with 'Simple Things' and the simplicity of the message got me teared up, puts a whole lot of day to day shit into perspective. Peace and blessings to all the fan base, it's through us he will always live forever. 🔥🔥🎤🌋🌍🧭

Nas is truly the greatest lyricist and mc of all all time. I'm from Bmore and i remember back in 94 I used to not even really listen to hip hop much. Because i felt it was not alot of substance in music that I think and rock too until Nas came with illmatic. I have been a fan ever since. True Nas fan! He should get the same if not more props that Jay Z gets but people like to dislike truth. But fuck it Nas the best!

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Therefore anything he touches they crucify. Nasir and Pusha album were 1a and 1b this year. No kap! Nasir dropping the same time with Jay&B just showed Black Excellence. 2018 will be remembered for 1 of the best years in rap this era. Nas went off on Swizz album as well. When you die you are going to stand before God and give an account for your life. Because God is good, He is going to judge you according to the perfect moral standard of His law. If you have ever lied, stolen, taken His name in vain, or sinned in any other way he will find you guilty of breaking His law. Because God is good he must punish your sin;the punishment for sin against God is an eternity in Hell. While God is righteous and just. He is also merciful, loving and kind in that He provided one way to escape that punishment and that was through the gift of His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ fully God and fully man without sin. He died on the cross a death He did not deserve taking upon Himself the punishment you rightly deserve for your sins against God Three days later Jesus forever defeated sin and death when He rose from the grave and he is alive today. What God requires of you is that you repent (turn from your sin and turn toward God) & by faith alone receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Repent and believe the gospel while God has given you time
