Well, I have always wanted to be an astronaut. My father was a Ph.D. In electrical and aerospace engineering so when I grew up we lived in Houston, TX during Gemini and Apollo and then in Florida during shuttle missions to name a few things he did, excluding civil service to the military. I Graduated from Duke University in 1982 (Chemistry/Psychology), a medical degree in 1993, nearly 30 years as a Navy Family physician, retiring in 2021. So my age this year will be 64 in August, still in good shape. I believe that age limits will be my downfall. What do you think?

You probably wouldn’t be. You’re lucky your job is is high demand and not many other people want to do it for a living because its really not that hard and if more people were entering your field you could potentially be out of a job pretty fast
