Nasal Rinse Technique. Tips to make it more comfortable

Dr. Dave Rogers with Alpenglow Medicine gives us some great pointers on how to use a nasal rinse device. Microwave the bottle to a desired temperature, around 25 seconds. Breathe through your mouth! This is a great tip. Gently squeeze the bottle to have a gentle flow. The only thing missing? Dr. Dave did not actually squirt saline up his nose. Maybe next time...

Great video!!! I've been doing this 2x a day AM & PM my sinus has cleared,I sleep and breathe better and I also noticed that the bags under my eyes have cleared!! Not sure if sinus can cause under eye bag's. I'm not sneezing alot like I used to and headaches are a lot less. My ENT doctor recommended surgery but I refused and thought I'd try nasal washes and boom!!! I'm better!! Thank you!!!! Wish you were my ENT doctor, not sure why he just didn't recommend nasal washes instead of surgery. Glad I didn't get surgery. Thank you!!!!

How do you clean the bottle? Can you use regular dish soap and tap water?

This was really helpful! I just did one for the first time and it had a positive effect! Might I suggest turning down the background music by about half as the level is comparable to your voice.

Great video I also learned from another video that if you make the k sound while doing your sinus rants with your mouth open that it also helps also to prevent the water from going where it shouldn't.

I use this system too and it’s great. On another Utube post, it suggested adding just a drop of baby shampoo and it was supposed to help even more. Stated it was suggested by their doctor. What are your views on this?

Please don’t put the bottle in microwave. It isn’t designed to be microwaved.

It actually is recommended for microwave use (60 seconds to disinfect bottle and 5 to 10 second increments to warm water for use). Refer to the instructions.
