I usually just put a capo on my nose that way I can still play my guitar while singing

Ha ha. And if you need to change key, you can put it on the guitar.

Dennis DeYoung is from Chicago, of course he is nasal. I am from Chicago and that's just us. Billy Corgan, anyone? 😆

Hi Ken, I would love it if you did a vocal analysis on the Aussie singer Jimmy Barnes. The guy has an incredible belting voice, particularly when he was in Cold Chisel.

omg Ken, I dreamed that you were training me singing and my voice improved like 10% in reality, I am not bullshitting. Do I owe you something for this session or was it free 😅

Another great video, Ken. Isn't it interesting how, sooner or later, certain people try to tarnish the reputation of those who see things very clearly? Wouldn't surprise me if that's the reason. The proof is in the singing though, and no one can take that away from you Ken, so just ignore them and continue to be the fantastic vocal coach that you are. Thank you for all that you do 🙏

I’m guessing that there’s a time and a place to add or subtract nasality depending on the song and singer?
@kentamplin23 күн бұрын
Yes, there is. You would sound like you had a bad cold if you didn't have at least SOME nasal sound in your voice. Nasal tone is not all bad by any means. You just want to have control and mastery over it.

Ken, keep making your videos, brother. Ignore the haters and naysayers. Keep doing what you do!!!!

Agreed. I practice Ken's vocal exercises every single day, for years now, and they work. Highly recommended.

No country songs if not some nasal sound🤠 Many carees like Stevie Nicks depends it all the time. Nose voice👃.
@kentamplin23 күн бұрын
That's right. It's a matter of having the amount of nasality that you want, rather than having no control over it at all. Some nasality is good. Zero nasality makes you sound congested. The right blend is what you want control over.

We wouldn't have a Willie Nelson if everybody sang like a soprano 99% of hit songs are from singers that mostly suck...

My audio anal-yzing software called Trollware 3000 has indicated a 3.33333 millisecond anomaly is Ken's cadence at 3:26... this proves that Ken has been replaced in this video by an AI bot who is a perfect replica of THE MOST BADASS VOCAL COACH ON THE INTERNET. Keep rockin Ken!
