I had pre-ordered the championship edition, and played the game for approximately 48 minutes. I have never returned a game before, and this is my first. This game is absolutely horrendous, and I am done with the mentality of "pay them money this year so they have resources next year". I'd rather have the leverage by saying, "I am not paying you anything until you release a product that is worth my money because your current game is trash and is not in the right direction". This game has pretty cars, and the best paint booth in NASCAR in a long time (but still not perfect), and it was hard to tell but I though the AI was okay in my brief time actually driving. My issues with the game: you can't use your paint scheme in career, the career mode has very little incentive for growth or immersion, no private lobbies, no 3-screen compatibility, no VR compatibility, no setups, hardly any wheel compatibility, hardly an in-car UI, no mirrors, menus upon menus upon menus which you cant go through with any steering wheel, no force feedback, no descriptions for anything, no ability to fully turn off certain setting, a spotter whos on cocaine, no driving into and out of or in pit lane, no pacing, millions of bugs...the game is just garbage, complete utter garbage. Boycott this game, we deserve better. This game is just so empty, and I would rather just continue manually making my own AI career modes in iRacing. This is sad.

I’ve been a fan of yours but my guy take off your windshield. The game isn’t done. Sure there’s contracts and what not but this games been in development for 2 years. And bugs are one thing. Missing features that are necessary for every single other racing game in history liek a track map, fuel gage, not even able to use your paint north in career or multiplayer. I know you want the game to be good. So do I. But nothings going to get better if we don’t show the producers that there’s an issue. And your videos hide that. Ik you got the game early and you have to be nice to then devs because you know you’re getting watched. but critique is critique. And then you go and say “you can have your own opinion and think what you want not not going to try and influence you” but then 10 seconds later you say “if you want to complain and be a baby blah blah blah” whatever man. Exactly. This guy tried to say they’re a victim of a contract that they sought out to be the exclusive developer/publisher of NASCAR video games yearly. They also chose to push forward in releasing this game knowing damn well 12-18 months ago that it wouldn’t be ready in time. Instead of just releasing a Heat 6 for 40$ they chose to drop a game that doesn’t even work.

Radman lost respect with me last year or the year before when he's trying to comment on races when he "hasn't watched a race all year" but I digress, that's another issue for another comment section lol. Where Radman loses respect for me as a gamer and as a guy who "reviews NASCAR games every year" is when in a video he states the following " it's my full time job to play this game" (no it wasn't in this particular video but another one he posted) When it becomes your job to play and review a game, you're not giving your honest opinion and then in all honesty, you become just like the game company your pimping for. I knew it was a major concern when all that could be said about this game until recently was “look how amazing it looks!” All we got was in car gameplay for the most part and they polished a turd. Saying it’s better than Heat 5 isn’t good enough. We haven’t had a worthwhile console NASCAR experience in almost 20 years.

To use the excuse that the problem of these games are the contracts shouldn’t be a valid argument. EA and Papyrus both had contracts with NASCAR to use the license and released so many amazing titles that we even revel at today. But unfortunately i don’t see developers not releasing half assed games or half finished games in the future. If you are planning on getting this game, wait a few months until they do some patches.

Fun fact: As we all know, '21 Ignition is using the rFactor physics model, but get ready for this: Nascar 08 and 09 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 also used the rFactor physics model. Yessir, that means those two games share some bugs, like the damage showing up in the replay when it's not supposed to, etc.

Finally got the time to try it out today. While using the g920 on xbox (A wheel that's supposedly supported) I couldn't even get to the main menu. It doesn't recognize it at all. I've heard you have to use a controller until you get on to the track. Huge flaw for me. Requested a refund and just got it a few minutes ago. Sticking to Tony Stewart's games from now on.

They agreed to the contract with NASCAR. No one held a gun to their heads and said, “you have to accept our deal or else”. Maybe they tried but failed to negotiate with NASCAR. If that’s the case, then I have some sympathy for them. In the end, NASCAR needs to stop expecting a game every year. A top quality racing sim takes 3-4 years MINIMUM. No wonder this game is a disaster - it took 4 YEARS for Heat to become decent. If they survive this game, we probably won’t get a good game from them until NASCAR 23 or 24. The software and its complexities don’t allow for games to be pumped out yearly anymore. Look at GTA... PS2: Vice City (02), San Andreas (04) PS3: GTA 4 (07) PS3/PS4: GTA V (13) PS4/PS5: GTA 6 (???) Notice how the development cycles got longer between each game? You can’t make a competent NASCAR sim in 1-2 years on this type of technology. The developers need WAY more time.

You all are the reason this is happening. You are even supporting a broken product. NASCAR will probably strip them of the license after this anyway. Heat Evolution is a more complete game than this… think about that for a second. Patches are meant to fix small issues not the entire game. Even if they patch stuff they still have to focus on next years game if they get to make it.

The physics are the best physics we seen so far for nascar games.Also bro this is a new generation of video games where all triple A games coming out are NOT going to be completed at launch. Examples: Battlefield 2042, Halo Infinite, CyberPunk 2077, Call of Duty Vangaurd. All of these TOP games are not going to be the full game at launch these are examples of the new era we are in of video games. I would have sympathy for motorsport games except for the fact that they negotiated the deal with nascar to release a yearly game. They could have at least tried to negotiated a release date for the first game in 2022 but they chose to say nothing to nascar about the issues. There was no reason to release the game in its current state, it could have been delayed until February for the start of the season. The excuse of "oh next year and in a couple of years the game will be amazing" may still be valid more than ever, but that doesn't change the fact that we've been listening to that same excuse for 10 years now. Just throwing this out there. I enjoyed your Nascar thunder career mode videos and watched everyone episode. Your NASCAR 21 career mode videos are unwatchable to me, and it has nothing to do with the way you create content. You are obviously a great content creator, but there is no depth, and obviously buggy. I am shocked you’d recommend anyone buy this game at all this year. People shouldn’t pay money for something this bad. Don’t give game company’s money for sub par content. Hold out and make them give us something worth our money. I miss the days of a $30 game and it crushed these $60 games.

This game has been in development for two years. They didn't have to build a physics engine, or graphics engine. The game wasn't "rushed". This is a literal joke, and the fact that you can sit by idly and say "you have to understand" nah dude. I've followed this channel for years, you've just lost all credibility as a content creator with this. People spent FULL triple A price for this "game" with a 90 buck collector edition. That's inexcusable. Supporting this bull is just going to make the devs feel justified in releasing a subpar, broken mess of a product. I think it’s totally fair to be upset especially if you spend 90 bucks on the champions edition of the game. It’s been two years in development you know they have testers to find these major problems. And it isn’t like Motorsport games didn’t know they were signing a contract for a yearly series if it was going to be to demanding for them then they should have reconsidered. Now here we are with a unfinished buggy game that people spend hard earned money on it’s totally reasonable to be critical about this.

I went to Nashville for my first track and of course I couldn't save my car setup. But when I started the race, Kurt Busch and Kyle Larsons cars were literally on fire. Once the caution flag came out, it would never go back to green. And when I pitted, it put my in Ross Chastains box with the 96 car stuck inside my car.

I'm a diehard NASCAR fan. I'm 33 years old, I've watched NASCAR since 1994. I LOVE NASCAR games. I've bought / played every game since 1998. This channel keeps getting recommended to me. Not sure why. This guy is way to nice and doesn't get it. I'm sure he's getting free games and wheels. After watch his NASCAR Heat 5 I lost all respect and creditability with him. Here is the truth from someone who has owned every NASCAR game for over 20 years. I bought and played NH5 and they had no support. Everything that was wrong at launch is still broken. I have no confidence that this time will fix anything. This game is UNPLAYABLE on console even for the MOST DIEHARD fans (which I am). This is WORSE than Cyberpunk. It's really unbelievable that a game this incomplete can be released. NH5 is still not fixed. They do not care about their products.. DO NO TRUST anyone that says there is a reason to buy this game. Honestly this studio should be banded from selling games at this point. I've moved over to F1 games and that's where I'm staying. I honestly didn't think you could release a game this bad, I'll give them that, they are the worst. PLEASE DON'T PAY TO BE A PLAY TESTER.

I would request that when a caution does come out, to Indicate on the HUD there is a yellow, AI take over your car and transition into the yellow/pit options. Right now when a yellow comes out and you go directly to the pit options screen, it’s rather abrupt and the flow of the race is weird then

Found a new bug at road America. I finished the race with both front tires blown or at least sounded like it. Anyway did replay where the cars wheels turn without the car itself moving no matter if you fast forward or fast reverse. So I gave up on replay and damage car in replay was there but after quitting the race I'm now in a infinite LOADING SCREEN.

One thing I forgot if you mentioned. The tire wear is a A+. Post patch with all the steering help off, the tire wear is a fun challenge to drive. At the high hp, low downforce tracks you don't just lose speed, you lose traction in the corners. Entering and exiting the corners your car will slide and you have to get off the gas or correct it if you have the talent for it. I wish I had a wheel to get 100% out of the car on wore tires. On controller, its too easy to over correct and crash yourself when it slides.

I just wanna add a game breaking bug in career mode that needs to be said that I ran into multiple times testing/simulating: You cant race past 5 seasons in career mode as you will not have a contract even though the agent says you got contract offers to go over and you cant race anyways. This makes career mode completely broken.

Nowadays games take wayyyyyy longer to make and polish than they used to even a few years ago. The problem is higher ups and contract holders push games to come out in Windows that would be more appropriate for the older games industry. If they actually let developers finish the game by giving them a lot longer to make them then maybe the modern gaming industry wouldn't be so messed up.

I just look at Dragonball Xenoverse 2 that came out in 2016 and is STILL releasing DLC packs with new characters in 2021. That's the model all sports games should follow including future NASCAR games. You have the entire history of NASCAR to look back on, add legends, Hall of Famers, old tracks, new tracks, fantasy tracks, plenty of DLC content to keep the game fresh and exciting for a couple years before releasing a new one.

I have already downloaded the first patch on ps4 a couple hours ago. It fixed the steering assist where you can turn that off and you can view the controls. The caution still never comes out and when it does it’s after a while following the crash after you pause it a few times. Hopefully they patch it enough soon to where it’s playable because at the current state, it’s a headache.

Main things I want for Nascar 22: -split screen This is most of my time spent on the Nascar heat games, although in addition to what the heat games had, I want 4 player split screen, not just 2 -owner mode in career It was cool that it was possible to be an owner in the heat games but they really didn’t do too much with it. I hope it is expanded more and made better than the heat games -other series It was nice to have 4 different series in the final heat games, so I hope they bring this back Those are my main wants for Nascar 22, if those things are added it will make it WAY better than the heat games because of the physics and gameplay already added in Nascar 21

Have a friend that works for NASCAR, first off and I think this is obvious, NASCAR isn’t happy with how the game turned out and how it’s being reviewed. He also says, I know I’m a random internet guy, but he claims Motorsport Games wouldn’t let them see the game until just before release date. He said they are based in Russia so it’s not like NASCAR could just knock on the door and check in on the game.

When I first played the game I had a lot of issues. I couldn’t get a race in at certain tracks, the game would take forever to load, I was experiencing all the glitches everyone has too. After that i turned the game off. I decided to give it a second chance and the game preformed a little bit better, i experienced less glitches and was able to go to any track.
