Nice to hear Mike Wallace talk junk about Jack Sprague. If I didn't know any better, it sounds like he was talking about himself.

Back when DW was funny, and racing was fun. To be honest, there's way too much hype involved in NASCAR now. Wish they could just go out and race like they used to, and not care a damn about sponsors and feelings.

Wreck at 3:13 may look somewhat mundane on paper, but it critically injured Rick Carelli. Basilar skull fracture, the same injury that killed Dale Sr. yet Stan Smith also survived.

The more I think about that Loney/Amick crash.. that could have been terrible if the spotter is yelling "It's on fire get out!" and Brad is pulling the belts off and scrambling inside then BOOM. Crazy.

Mike Wallace interview = pure awesomeness. My dad was the gasman for Jack Sprague when he ran in the Busch series in the early 90's in the 74 car. He always said Jack had the talent, but didn't know what to do with it. And that the first time they went to Atlanta, that track scared the hell out of him.

Swing and a miss. Jack went on to win the Championship at the end of that same season. Typical whining out of one of the Wallace brothers.

I was at that race, it was amazing, great racing all night. Most of my memories of it are overshadowed by the bridge collapse though.
