You can see why we love SVG so much in NZ. Lots of talent, pushes hard and clean. An excitement machine. Not sure why there are snipers in the comments. You NASCAR fans should appreciate the fact that he has expanded the fan base of your sport all the way to the other side of the world, and breathed some fresh air into it.

Someone above mentioned no one in NASCAR was is his league when it comes to road courses...why did he finish second yresterday? Another mentioned him showing of his skills on the last laps...by bumping the leader out of the way, overdriving the chicane and losing the lead, overdriving the final corner and almost wrecking?? @@codymoe4986 You seem salty as to be fair. He is clearly a skillful driver and acknowledging that doesn't make someone ridiculous or a fanboy. Why can't you just admire a skillful newcomer and admit he has massive potential? Also, the whole bump and run style is heavily penalised in the V8 Supercar series he raced in, so it's counter intuitive to suddenly be allowed to do that. I think that kind of racing is very cool and suits his style, so he will adapt very quickly. It's only cool when it's done without trying to wreck the other guy though, and respect to the guy that beat him today, he did it legit. It's OK for people to like SVG. Not sure why it triggers you 🤔

I don’t understand why those same ringers can’t adapt to ovals when that’s what they mainly run when coming to NASCAR. They do get better, but rarely do they improve as much as the NASCAR drivers do on road courses when a bar is set.

I dont get why NASCAR calls cautions so stricly even at road courses. Like half the time nobody even gets stopped on the racetrack so why call a caution, caution should only be warrented if a car is stopped on the track for more than 25 seconds in my opinion, that or there is really bad debree or oil on the track or some damage to a barrier or smth.

A few things about the broadcast. I hate the constant aerial shots and the tracking camera near the bus stop. I loved the straightforward cam showing the entire stretch. Race was good tho

If they don’t want these cars to overrun the curbing perhaps they should consider improving the handling on the road package instead of adding more hazardous infrastructure to the track.
I don't watch NASCAR... Probably still won't. I tuned just to see how Montoya did because I am a long time F1 fan... Having that said, NASCAR engine sounds are just amazing. Kudos, all open wheel racing seems to be going backwards regarding engine sizes, types and sounds.
