Dale earnhardt sr did not intentionally wreck people to win or advance. He was extremely aggressive due to what he had to overcome in his earlier years. He was not afraid to get a guy loose by touching his rear bumper but he rarely did it hard enough that the guy would wrecked. Half the time he got the car in front of him airoloose. Which is where you dont touch them at all but you get as close as possible to take the downforce off the rear tires so the car wants to get sideways. Dale was aggressive but not dirty like people think. This race for the win was dirty. Trying to cut tires like guys sometimes do is dirty. Dale loved to grind on the track. There were times he would deliberately leave the faster lane open to a slower car behind him, just so they would run side by side and put on a good show. He loved it.

@boba70392 ай бұрын
If you watch the replay, starting 200 feet before the line that starts the restart area you will see the front of the 22 car is even with the beginning of the 3’s passenger’s door. When they get to the line that starts the restart area the 22 is even with 3. Either the 3 slowed down or the 22 sped up for that to happen. It looks to me if you look at the relationship of the 3 and 22 in relation to the other cars, the 22 sped up. That gives the 22 an unfair advantage because his car has forward momentum at the line. The 22 should be disqualified for jumping the start. Look at other replays for the contact of the 3 and 11. Look at the position of the 3 and 11 in relation to the bottom yellow line of the track and the first lane dashed line and keep in mind that they are both still in the exit of the turn. You will see that the 3 in straddling the first lane dashed line and the 11 is at the bottom of lane 1 next to the yellow line. Now go frame by frame and watch the cars in relation to the 2 lines. You will clearly see the 11 moves up and into the 3, the 3 is NOT moving down. The 11 caused the accident.

The 11 is moving up because that is the end of the corner. He is on the racing line the whole time. The 3 chooses to remain where he is, setting a pick on the 11. Im gonna preface this with I dont like or support Austin Dillon, at all. But there is nothing wrong with Dillons move.... at all.... rubbins racin man. Yall soft fr just cus your favorite drivers didnt win. He rubbed Logano to pass him which, btw, is a legitimate move many drivers have made and not gotten as much backlash (Dale Earnhardt, Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Chase Elliott, etc). And the contact with Hamlin was Hamlins miscalculation. Hamlin tried to block and made it just too short and sent himself into the wall. Not Dillons fault.

Let me get this straight. Chastain and anyone else can no longer run along the wall, even though that only jacks their car up, but they can bump and crash anyone out of their way until they're the only driver left? So, NASCAR will just be a demolition derby going forward?

That was a classic Earnhardt finish.
@DaleEarnshark32 ай бұрын
No. Earnhardt wouldn't do a ridiculous divebomb like that.

Best race finish ever. Take the #3 who sucks then have him take out two of the most disliked drivers on the last lap to win. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

Are you for real? Regardless who you cheer for this was disgraceful

But it's ok for denny and Joey to wreck people to win. But yeah disgraceful lol @@TJ_Simon

We all cheered when Chastain sent a hail mary around the fence to make the spot, so... get r dun!!
@DaleEarnshark32 ай бұрын
One was just a guy full sending it around the wall, and passed multimple guys without wrecking anyone. The other intentionally wrecked 2 faster cars. They are not the same.
@TheGoocherLee2 ай бұрын
@DaleEarnshark3 they don't need to be the same technique in order for both methods to fall under the category of Last Lap Hail Mary.
@TheGoocherLee2 ай бұрын
@@DaleEarnshark3 and they weren't faster cars. Dillon had already passed them both and was about to get the win except for a caution at 2 laps to go. Good on Dillon for securing what was already his.

Nascar fans I know all seem to be furious about how this ended, and a lot of them don't like Logano or Hamlin much

That is the MOST kick butt finish in NAPCAR in a very long time. Behind closed doors Sawyer is high fiving his chums and they will use these clips all next week to promote,

Idk, there have been a few awesome finishes in recent years. The 3 way dead heat, and Chastains wall grind were both pretty sweet.

And lost in all of this, Tyler Reddick finishes 2nd yet again.

Despite how he won did anyone thought that Austin would win this year before Kyle Busch in the Cup Series? I didn't for sure. Especially given how off RCR has been become of late.

Well, if anything, it comfirms that Busch gets Dillon's sloppy seconds.
