This race should've been held on another weekend. The one time a year F1 makes it to the states, and NASCAR wouldn't let them, or their fans have that moment in the spotlight. This track is just 2.5 hrs north of Austin. By all means run the race, just not in the same neighborhood. Heck even UFC and Pro Boxing have a gentleman agreement to not have fights on the same weekend.

@TreeLBollingTreeMan5 жыл бұрын
@@jacobmerkle323 F1 had their schedule over a year ago, F1 must consider a number of other factors when scheduling its races. In 2013 the U.S. Grand Prix shared a weekend with a University of Texas football game. Both events attracted large crowds, but the situation was not ideal. This year, the race before Austin takes place in Sochi, Russia, so the teams need time to move all their equipment and personnel halfway around the world. Other F1 circuits must also be accommodated as they try to fit their grands prix into the local calendar. One race cannot simply be pushed forward or backward by a week without creating a domino effect on the entire schedule. Ecclestone, speaking to Ian Parkes of the Press Association (via BT Sport), said: We've a small problem they [NASCAR] don't have-we have six jumbo jets to move around all our equipment, and we have to find the most sensible way to use them to do that. We have to be efficient, and bear in mind we may also encounter problems at an airport.

Harvick should realistically have 90+ wins. He ran in sub-par RCR equipment for a good chunk of the middle of his career and he dominated so many races with SHR that his team would lose him at the last minute. I'd say he should have won 6-8 races per year average since he started driving for SHR but he's only won 26 in those 6 years which is STILL a ton of races and STILL makes up the majority of his victories (23 with RCR over 13 years). And I'd be willing to bet RCR has only won maybe a dozen non-Harvick races since Dale Earnhardt passed. Putting it into perspective like that, it's kind of amazing how the history books won't accurate reflect how good he is.
@kylewagoner5 жыл бұрын
Just checked--RCR has won 39 races since Dale Earnhardt died in 2001. 23 of those were Harvick. The rest were Clint Bowyer (5), Jeff Burton (4), Robby Gordon (3), Austin Dillon (2), Ryan Newman (1), and Paul Menard (1).

As for Denny Hamlin, I truly wish him well, with the utmost of my being! I have so much respect and admiration for him. He's been through a lot in his Nascar career. Think back about, what was it, 7-8 years ago, when Joey "Loser" Logano spun Denny Hamlin out, causing Denny to slam into a wall, which caused Denny to break his back. I don't remember all of the details, but Joey didn't care what happened to Denny. At first, he said he intentionally did it, and said that in at least a couple of interviews. Then he tried to backpedal on those statements, stating that he didn't really mean to hurt Denny. During that particular interview, which occurred when someone on ESPN, who was interviewing Denny, actually turned the laptop around, so that Denny could see Joey's face, when Joey was talking. Denny watched, dumbfounded, as Joey gave his little speech, and what caught Denny offguard, was the way that Joey was actually smiling, at least at one point, when he was giving his statement, concerning what actually happened out on the track! Denny should've caught up with Joey after he healed up, and looked him straight in the eyes, and told him:"If it's a war that you want, you've got it"!!! Attitude-wise, Denny has always, in my own humble opinion, been better than Joey Logano ever was!!!

Dale Jr is without a doubt the worst announcer in all of sports. That high pitch screech he does is just like nails on a chalkboard. It's like he is always trying to make more out of something that it actually is...

He spun and his splitter dug into the grass, giving him aero damage.

He spun out through the grass and broke his splitter. His car was pretty undrivable after that.

Awesome to see Cheater Chase wreck himself out. I guess the NASCAR media helping your ego and fans hyping you wayyy up wasn't enough 😂😂 Off to Phoenix which is one of Kyle's best tracks, he'll be advancing on to Miami 😎 😎

Kevin harvick is just another one of nascar's favorites, if he dosen't win then people start crying. Nascar choose's who they want to win- tires and traction compound. Also they lowered the horse power so these kids and cry baby's could win more. Oh and get jeff burton off the air, hate that guys voice. Joe gibbs will win because the money that TRD backs them with. Also since when was a toyota american.

Circular track, banked corners, and those guys still can't drive. No skill, no talent, and an event as boring as watching paint dry

Sam Smythe someone didn’t take physics class
@samsmythe9375 жыл бұрын
@@maximuscervantes5546 That's exactly my point. There's no physics involved, there's no skill involved. I don't even know how it can be called car racing.
@maximuscervantes55465 жыл бұрын
Sam Smythe air affects these a lot, they draft on the straightaways and if you pull down on a car in the center of the corner, the car behind you will shoot up the track because is no clean air on the nose
