NBC coverage feels old school. Great ticker, and the engine audio mix with the broadcasters is SPOT ON!! It reminds me of the old TNT and ESPN days.

Exactly, @Cooker Pro. Remember the wreck riddled race about a year ago when Kyle Busch said, "If you don't like this kind of racing then don't even watch"? Well, a lot of people did exactly that, stop watching. I stopped watching as Kyle recommended. I love good clean and HARD-fought racing like this video showed.

@@bretmuldner yes it was, and I can give you a few reasons why. Great strategy, good battles all around the track, usually poor teams having good days (both Roush cars in the top 5 at one point. Heck yeah), and a great battle between Kyle and Joey in the final stage. Sure, without the final caution maybe the race rating would be a little lower, but not a good race? You need to look deeper than how many wrecks are happening or how close the leaders are together Bret.

Paul Gering points are given to the top 10 finishers, and 1 playoff point to the stage winner. My only problem is the caution after every stage...

Awards performance throughout the race instead of just at the end. Say someone led the whole race and blew an engine with 20 laps to go, they still earned points that reflected their early race performance.

It was amazing to watch. The battle had been brewing for about 40+ laps before that. Was a cat and mouse game, weaving through lapped traffic. And they even pitted at the same time on final pit stops. Watching them both come off pit road was exciting (I was sitting by turn one.)

Not a bad race overall, but most NASCAR fans are insufferable. They complain about everything, just be happy with what you have. There are sports that are in much worse shape, stop complaining about the dumbest things and hope that stock car racing doesn’t reach that point.

He took 4 tires, which was a big mistake in their own right. He needed a good points day which is a shame for him. As far as the racing goes, you saw clearly by the end of the race that drivers could catch the leader and pass them. Stage 1 never really is the most exciting time of the race, and never really has been. 🤷♂️

I agree the racing needs to get better but traction control compounds is not the answer. Kentucky speedway needs to be taken off the schedule if can't put together a better race. I want to see drivers talent the best of the best.

Everyone seems to forget (and I'm sure NASCAR does) that if Bubba Wallace doesn't spin out with five laps to go then Joey Logano wins this race going away by two to three seconds in a snoozefest. Basically the car in front has all the clean air and no one can reach him and no one can pass a car in front of them. NASCAR is the epitome of dead man walking.

I will be a Dale Earnhardt Jr fan forever, but I'm not a fan of him overly hyping up the race. When he said drivers before stage racing was implemented would relinquish a spot easier because they mattered more, I did a double take (or hear). He said that after the first 10 laps of the race!
