I don't keep up with nascar, but over the years, I have seen enough crap to know that NASCAR is a mafia bullying entity. So you're telling me that if I buy a $40,000000 mansion with cash or a fixed loan that a higher power can say.. nope.... Not sure but as a fan, I'm willing to skip the entire season if that's what it takes. Lots of other racing domestically and around the world to watch and I have little interest in supporting NASCAR ownership. I'll support my individual drivers buying merch but that's the extent of my investment.

Other than NASCAR strongly discouraging it, I don't see why the drivers don't unionize. They will never get anywhere bargaining with the old-heads at NASCAR unless/until they are on even terms with them in regards to bargaining capital. There is a reason we regulate corporations and it's because left to their default state, they would step on everyone's neck until they were of of no use and go on to the next. Most of us have worked for companies like that and know that the bigger they get, the greedier they get. This is not a theory, a hunch or a guess but precisely why we have regulations in place. Although I support the drivers and some team owners, NASCAR as a corporation will never get a penny from me through merch and/or broadcasting fees.
