I’m white and I feel the insult some Indonesians might feel at this. @@spicysalsaking791 Dual citizens pay twice so I'm not sure what the issue is personally about paying double taxation since in this situation, the immigrants are from countries where they earn more than the locals and live there because it's "affordable" compared to the locals who don't have conversion rates to rely on and thus getting outsourced. (I think this is the point of the original commentator). Also, the only reason I speak on this is because double taxation applies to me (Dual Nationality).

foreigners take advantage of the affordable prices and hospitality making it difficult for the actual Balinese people to live there. As an Indonesian, it annoys me so much whenever i see a post about "spent a year in bali" or "move to bali" because it quite literally feels like modern day colonialization. Adding to the fact that most foreigners also never seem to appreciate the rich culture of Bali and often times disrespect it as well.
