I needed to understand Nash's Equilibrium vs the Pareto Optimization today - and capped off the day with your video. Now I FINALLY understand why it's called the Prisoner's "Dilemma" because, rationally, they cannot achieve the Pareto Optimality without external incentives (threat of death for squealing, e.g.). I think it might be useful to kind of add that tidbit in your explanation - but if you come to this video after any other content, your explanation really closes out the subject for comprehension - THANK YOU!

With the examples and simple explanation you exhibited in the video, I came back to the original Prisoner's Dilemma problem and drew the box with the prisoners' respective strategies and outcomes. Instead of yearning for more numerical value, this one focused more on the "less" numerical value (lesser time in jail = more preferable). I finally understood it when the answer lead to one Nash Equilibrium despite having another and better choice (top-left box). Thanks!!
