Kevin Nash explains it how it is, the slack line bollocks introduced by Fairbrass and team korda is exactly how Nash said it you have no indication unless the fish has gone over so many metres, excellent video from a proper legend

What I love about Kevin - says it as it is - If you read this Kevin - remember Townsend Hook Larkfield ( Leybourne Lake ) as you wrote about ( and pics in the book ) in Carp Fever with Roy Johnson etc - I had the privilege to be there...........Truly pioneering days ( mid 70s ) - Trevor McGregor

Excellent little film. More common sense in 10 minutes than in many another whole DVD. Great man.

I think running rigs are a good shout. Underused and underrated, 10% more sensitive than safety clips and helicopter rigs. I'm sure opinions may vary.

I have the 10ft Nash Dwarf rods, in 3lb tc. Great rods. Never have liked 13ft rods for course fishing. 10ft excellent compromise. Also got Nash Sub-Lo carp chair, comfy.

Should use Delkims mr nash. Uses vibration not need for line movement. Then you can fish very slack lines. And on fox & korda their underwater filming their flouro sinks all the way. 💪🏻

How come These rigs were all semi-fixed, I pretty much always fish running rigs for the innate safety and the fact that all indication comes as a run ie no "drop backs". Would be nice to see the indication on a running rig!

What size ball maker are you using in the video I could do with one this size for the river..... the ball maker is a great idea got loads of mileage in it I've used it in the smaller size you should of been rich on this idea alone I feel it's a item that people will sooner or later latch onto

He is using an inturned eye because the line is coming through from the inside not the backside...........think about it.

The indication doesn't say much about your Sirens Kev, try the same same test with your old bullet braid and Delkims ...instant indication at 70+ yards with ultra slack lines👍
@gonefishing5142
@gonefishing5142 6 жыл бұрын
I would agree regarding the Delkims. I fish slack lines with a clear droop in the line between the rod tip and the surface of the water in the margins and on a high sensitivity setting my Delkims will sound before any visible tightening of the line or movement on the bobbin due to the vibration sensing. They are fantastic alarms.
