Nashville needs to win an Emmy for this episode! Such incredible acting from the entire cast, but that scene with Deacon, Daphne, and Maddie was phenomenal. You could feel their raw emotion when the reality of Rayna's death set in. It was pretty messed up how we all thought that Rayna was gonna live during that final scene when she opened her eyes...but then they closed!!! Ahhh Rayna will be missed!! #BringRaynaBackSeason6

I can't believe they didn't win an Emmy for this. There was also the episode where Rayna sings after her first car accident. Luke calls her on stage, she is unsure if her vocal cords will cooperate. Connie does superb acting in that one. She deserved an award.

cried and cried and cried. charles doing an amazing job as said that transends acting. it was a beautifull but horrible episode. a loss for the series but still as country is dear to my heart i will never ever in a 1000 years stop watching this wonderfull Wonderfull show.

4yrs later and I still can't watch this without bawling my eyes out. It truly felt like you lost an actual real life person that's how good the acting was from Chip Connie Lennon and Maisy in this ep! I'll never get over Rayna and Deacon not having their happy ever after 💔😭

This totally blew me out of the water. I refused to let myself get all teared up knowing she would pull through. BUT SHE DIDN'T!!! I had no idea that she had asked to leave the show. I looked it up immediately and was equally shocked. I'm going back to enjoying the music and not the repetitive musical beds under lying theme. : )

I watched this episode last night and I was shocked... I was in tears the entire time. Everyone's acting was PHENOMENAL!! Really what saddened me was Rayna's passing; even now as I type this my eyes are welled up with tears because the scene is playing in my mind where Deacon, Maddy, and Daphne sing to her as she opens her eyes to see her loved ones, one last time.

I cried through episodes 9 and 10, and when deacon went through her belongings , when he found her journal, and videos ..I cried like a baby . But- Charles was PHENOMENAL, laughing and crying at Raynas words . He should have won an Emmy.

I think now Nashville will focus on Maddie and Daphne and their rise to stardom. Juliet will probably help them and act as a mom to them for Rayna

"More music, less drama" --> well, that's not true. The death of Rayna became the biggest drama and tragedy of the show. 'Nashville' is dead with her too.

I loved this episode... The light,the touch,and the love. Words unspoken, emotionally heart felt. The words I'm trying to express about this episode..... Fragile and you succumb to the power of death. Beautiful episode. I will miss you "Nashville "

I was shocked that they let her character die, I looked it up and she thought it was time to move on. However, it was nice to see that CMT picked up the show after ABC canceled it and I believe I only missed whatever was aired in Dec 2016 before I found out CMT had it. I know its a TV show But have to be honest and say I had a tear in my eye when she passed and quite a few when Deacon said after very hard to tell Funeral, " I Can't go on without her " . I think the show is a good show and I hope that when it ends it does on a positive note. I think some really can sing its hard to tell if they lip sync or not and the episodes at the end of the season where its all singing, hmmm Juliette has grown into a woman since playing a football coaches daughter in " Remember The Titans". , I just watched the end of episode 10 and when Juliette called Maddie backstage to her dressing room and asked her to sing the song she was to sing as a tribute to Rayna, showed alot of growth. and when maddie agreed and then broke down in tears singing and her sister and her father Deacon came on stage to sing with her. I broke down like a little baby crying. The show has really touched me. As I see all the interviews Connie has done on the side here on KZbin am I to understand this has happened in May of 2016 and we are just now seeing it here in Michigan. Wow, Great Show ! Thank You.

That was devastating for me . The loss of Rayna was so huge. I Had heard that the writers always planned to kill Rayna off , but nothing can prepare us for her loss ,and the tragic end of her and Deacon 😢

I watched it again today at 11.and i couldnt stop crying and watching Deacon and the girls crying broke my heart.Deacon Maddie and Daphne they deserve an award the acting were beautiful.Its gonna b hard for me to continue watching the show without Rayna their my favorite couple and i love me some Deacon he's handsome and sexy and i love his voice.I would love to see them finish their songs about their life and sing them on stage .That would of been a good way for her to leave the show they didn't sing together n season four or this season i wanted them to sing together.I read that u haven't seen the last of Rayna James because shes coming back as a ghost that's been done to many times on other shows and it's not the same .

So basically Connie Britton had no desire to come back for season 5 and wanted out, I hate when the main character doesn't care about the show they helped lead and bails in the worst way. Reminds me of Grey's when Patrick Dempsey wanted out so they randomly killed Dr.Shepard off

I'm sure there was a lot of uncertainty among the actors when ABC cancelled it. She also adopted her son when Nashville started, so I'm sure it was a very demanding schedule. Connie did care about the show and did state in interviews she wanted to make sure the show was in a good place.

Patrick Dempsey wasn’t selfish. He was on that show for 14 seasons. A show usually doesn’t even last that long. And he was happy to still do appearances but the writers got in their feelings and killed him off. They were already doing a long distance marriage so there was no reason to kill him.

Connie chose to leave but it was also because ABC cancelled it, then CMT picked it up. Connie also adopted Yobi when Nashville started and I'm sure the schedule was very demanding.

i don't understand why the director would let rayna james die, she was the main person we wanted to see, why would rayna not want to continue being rayna, don't she know she was the main draw. On her Highway 65, she could have had her girls sing & Deacon to, & have Scarlett & Gunner singing, they are so good together & Avery to, we don't need all the drama. You just let Deacon & Rayna get back together, you goofed up.Juliette will never be the draw Rayna James was . you messed up. I don't care if I ever watch it again. MJB.
