I visited a couple of weeks ago, June 5th, and it was an awesome tour. I'm a big Elvis fan and I've always wanted to go on one of the 4 days Elvis was there in 1970, in what became known as The Nashville Marathon, recording all the songs he sang in TTWII. Bridge Over Troubled Water is one of my favorites, and maybe I'm a geek but, I thought it was so cool to be there 51 years to the day that he stood right there on that "X" and recorded that song.

One day a few years back I was driving down the alley behind 17th Ave S. When I came up to the rear of RCA Studio B I saw sticking straight up out of the dumpster what I knew was a piece of wood a door threshold to be exact. I stopped pulled it from the dumpster saving it from the dump. I assumed the people doing work on the building had tossed it out very much by mistake... I was talking to my lawyer who said if it s in the garbage it's fair game.. I felt sad about the threshold not being where it belonged but I wasn't sure which door it had come from. I went back to Studio-B the next day and explained what I had saved from no return but the people running the studio for tours didn't care what I had if I wanted to go in I could pay for a ticket just like everyone else. I just walked away shaking my head ..Next I call the CMA people who run the show over at Studio- B and I was flabbergasted at the rude non caring idiocy I got from them and thought it was a shame people like that are running the show. Finally I did buy a ticket and sure enough my threshold matched all of the others in the studio except there was one missing ..The missing threshold since the place was built was the threshold to the door going into the mastering room. I was making every attempt at getting it back to where it should be.. Finally I gave up and placed the 48" threshold on the floor going into my livin'© room. I'm afraid it's now mine and I'll be the keeper of it after making repeated attempts to have it set back where it came from...

I visited her grave in McMinnville about 15 years ago. I knew what the marker looked like, so it was easy to find. Great singer.

Been there in August 2019 Would have been better if they had who recorded what and when with their photos Thank God they have persevered this building.for the history country music.Sir gentleman Jim Reeves must have loved it in that building Will be there again Loved every moment in Nashville It was a very heart warming place to be It was sad Elvis made holes in the walls and tried to. trash it.

Being a huge Chet Atkins fan, this would be the perfect job for me. A guide told me Chet's office was converted into a bathroom. 😡
