These guys were untouchable live in the 80s. They would wipe the floor with anybody. No joke

I bought this cassette at the base exchange when i was stationed overseas. I blasted it many days. They are the group i think of when i get homesick for old Nashville .

Jason and the Scorchers - sheer dynamite, should have been bigger than the Stones. Unbeatable live act. RIP Perry

There’s a few bands that have come and gone that I thought would be huge. Del Fuegos, Georgia Satellites. Hell I thought Social Distortion was gonna rule the world when I stumbled across them around ‘91 or so.

Besides Zeppelin I have never seen a band slay an audience like they did at the Center Stage in Atlanta. All spit and polish. You rocked Jason and the Scorchers...

The band is on FIRE and Jason is THE ICE…AN AWESOME LIVE BAND WITH ALL THE HOOKS!!! Miss that killer guitar work Warren Hodges puts down. Caught Warren playing with Dan Baird and Original Sin…LIGHTS OUT PERFORMANCE!!!

First saw them play The Cannery @ Nashville live after hearing them on the Vanderbilt FM station 91.1. That station was where I first heard any punk rock like the Sex Pistols and alternative music. Jason and the NASHVILLE Scorchers were incredible on radio and nuclear live. Jason, Warner and band absolutely kicked our ass

Great video. In the 80's Jason and the Scorchers were an island in the sea of hairband hell.

They had and have a loyal following but they were still ahead of their time by a few years . Aldean , Paisley , Brooks, and the minions of numerous Nashville contrived shitkickers that came along subsequently owe a debt to this great band !

Warner Hodges is the "man" on guitar, one of my favorites, and they're playing end of July right by the house, sad to hear of Perry Baggs though, guess it'll be bittersweet

Never saw this as it was a local show. Great song from a rock in' band. Agree about the telecaster or les paul. Those two and a few others are the basis for rock.

What I like about this video is that you can really hear Jeff's bass thumping. As much as I was knocked out by Warner's guitar, as well as Perry's drumming and Jason tto, the production of the albums did not feature this dimension. This band remains one of my all-time favorites for the way they just blasted out of the box. Yes, they were trying to play the game at this point with hair and makeup and what have you, but they were still tremendous.

I agree with your first sentence when it comes to this song and the album it's from, but their traditional sound (as represented by the first two records, as well as the brand new one) has more of a country flavor to it.
