Sweet.....just about to finish off my 71. Make a plan. I looked back at old receipts and seen where I wasted money by not making a plan and redoing work. Bought a radiator...worked fine.....had to buy a better radiator once I put AC on it. Make a plan.....Bought body bushings (stock height)....had to replace them after about a year once I bought my 5 speed to make clearance. Love the color on your buddies bronco.

Good to see Ian and Kevin I love watching anything those guys build! I’ve been away from your channel for awhile glad I checked back in to see your new project. I still have my 68 torn all apart but I’m feeling inspired again lol for the 50 th time. Hey I saw on James Duffs website that so many people were building Broncos again because of the free time due to COVID that they were way behind on orders and to be patient. Lol unintended consequences of a global pandemic. 🤔

I'm building my 73's body on top of the frame, and I'm building mine to be a beach cruiser. Boxwood green paint with a saddle brown interior, 1 inch body lift, chunky tires on stock suspension, and lots of little restomod touches all around.

What is your plan for the body? Glovebox door just for the VIN? Can't wait to see what you get up to on this chassis with these fellas. I've been watching all your vids the last few years as I work through my 71. Keep up the content so us weekend mechanics can be entertained!
@broncodude62994 жыл бұрын
My first Bronco was a ‘71 👍 My second was a frame in restoration ‘69 Loved them both. Ford fan from my early days, but have been driving Jeeps for almost 40 years. Jeep fan aside, early Broncos take a back seat to NOTHING off road. 👍

Jon, looks like an amazing project you've got there. I'm documenting the restoration of my '73 now, and will be getting a whole new body tub, so if you need any body parts or stock '73 Bronco parts, I may be able to send some your way! It would be cool if you did an all-original/stock bronco build for this project. Best of luck with your project! Sam

I just started a similar project last weekend! I wish I could've left the tub in the field too. There is nothing to save except dash and hard top. Here's my plan: 2 1/2" lift and t-rex radius arms from Duff's, AX-15 trans, disc brakes on all 4 corners, upgrade to power steering, rebuild stock engine(upgrade to roller lifters, hotter cam and Holley sniper), replace every seal, bushing, build complete new tub.

Wow! That will be amazing! We should put bets on who will finish first 😂

Congratulations, Jon! Can't wait to watch this one come together. Surely you're not kicking Nash out of the garage... Are you going to do this build offsite? Maybe in Ian's garage? LOL I swapped in a BluePrint Maxlider 306 with the Sniper last year and love it. Highly recommend BluePrint if you don't go with a Mustang/Explorer 5.0 or Coyote. Wore my Nash shirt to Super Cel West a couple weeks ago hoping to see you there. Hope to get to meet you before long. Love your content!

Awesome...at long last this is the Bronco project you emailed me about a few months back. Thanks for sharing this project with all of us... your loyal subscribers. Can't wait to see the next episode...do you have a color code for the body in mind?
@NashvilleEarlyBronco4 жыл бұрын
At last! haha! I've been tossing around color ideas. Brittany Blue? Boxwood Green? What would you do?
@mysteriomarvel9334 жыл бұрын
@@NashvilleEarlyBronco Jon I think your current 1975 Bronco already has a similar color to the Boxwood green which first appeared as a color choice in 1968. I don't think you would want 2 Broncos virtually the same color so a different shade of green could be the 1977 color code Jade Glow..kind of an aqua green that is close to Jonathan Wards Icon restomod Bronco he posted a few years ago. I'll try to share the link with you via email in a bit....brittany blue I was unfamiliar with but looks like a good retro choice. It would go great with a Wimbledon white dash and hardtop with old school whitewall tires. I believe the 1968 ford mustang had this as a color code but not exactly sure of that.

Damn! I'm restoring my 74 bronco rn. what color is that?! I kinda wanna paint it that
@broncobros20224 жыл бұрын
Since you already have a mostly stock original driver with great patina I’d go over the top with this one. 4 link the rear with coil overs all around, sweet new axles, updated brakes and steering, Vudoo 5.2L (that’s the GT350 Coyote upgrade), and then have your buddy Kevin slather in in beautiful original looking paint so it’s a total head turner Not that I’ve thought about what I’d do to an early Bronco if I had one🤷🏼♂️
