My dad was the second owner of a 95. He bought it for $4500. Put it on the credit card lol. It had just over 240,000 miles on it and he ran into some issues with it. Decided he didn’t have time for it anymore. He sold it to my brother for $8000. My brother has done pretty much everything under the sun to it, shy of an engine swap. But he’s done with it. He finished his project. He wants something else. So he’s going to sell it to me for $8000 and I’m so stoked

Ive owned a 95 since 2003. My favorite changes: *Saginaw power steering pump swap check out desolate motors online hose kit and buy a ps bracket and a saginaw pump *New refurbished columb with a 97 ignition. Butter smooth. * the new model 130amp alternator. Easy to install just add a big inline fuse or breaker to be safe. *Idler pulley plastic to metal swap, u dont want that to fall apart in summer and 60 miles from a parts store. *Inatke tube snorkel thing from the air box swap / use the strait 1 from an inline 4.9 or a 460 v8 better than a KN fipk in my opinion. Gets fresh air buy the headlight and grill instead of the top of the radiator. *1997 f150 seats with pwr driver and also a jump seat in the middle cuz my son loves it.
@codybrady66372 жыл бұрын
The saginaw pump is probably the best life improvement mod. I did mine with a van ps bracket and pump out of the junkyard. Also got a van high pressure hose and just slightly bent it to fit. What's different about the 97 column and ignition?
@joshmiller78702 жыл бұрын
Also since its a 1994 you might qant to check out the injectors. I believe you might have the single spray hole type. 95 and 96 used a quad spray for better atomization. Improves mpg slightly but also helps acceleration and smoothness. I believe they are the same injectors also used on 1996 to 1998 explorer. Same 19lbs just sprays through 4 small holes on each injector.

I always loved the Broncos. And in Nov of 22 I finally bought one. 91 5.8 no hardtop which was fine cause I wanted to convert it to soft top anyways. Paid $3k for it. Straight clean body, interior...meh (not bad but not great). Needed Brakes and some new bushings but since I had been a mechanic for 20 yrs thats not an issue. Now its got a 3 core Aluminum Radiator with electric Fans, Flowmaster dual exhaust, 3G Alternator swap and of course it's soft top. Friend gave me a custom rear bumper in trade for a PS4. Currently have a 5.8 in my garage under teardown and getting some goodies installed along with a rebuild that should be ready this May of 2024. In the last 4 months I've had 3 offers for it lowest being $9k. Turned them all down

I bought a 95 2 years ago for $4000. Wanted a 5 speed so had to settle for the 5.0L. Wasn't a huge deal. They were only 15hp less than the 5.8L. It wasn't as clean as your 94 but it is now. Many trips to the junkyard seeking out interior pieces. Luckily a lot of the f150 parts fit!

I've had a 5.0 f150 and even though theres not that much horsepower difference the 5.8 feels like it has considerably more torque, that's why I got a 5.8 bronco. At some point I'd love to have an i6 bronco
@joemama11512 жыл бұрын
@@codybrady6637 Do you know if they had the same ratios in the rear end? I had an 88 f150 5.0L 5speed 20+ years ago. Had 3.73 rear gears. At the same time a friend of mine had a 92 5.0L 5 speed 3.08 in the rear end. My truck felt like it had 50 more hp than his. Could it be the gear ratios you were feeling? The 5.8L has a lot more potential for sure. But the intake runners are tiny. A lot smaller than the 5.0L. A lot of guys are putting the 5.0L upper intake on their 5.8L and porting the lower to match. I'm sure that widens the performance gap. Probably where it should have been from the factory.
@codybrady66372 жыл бұрын
@@joemama1151 they both had 3.55 gears. The truck had a limited slip but not like that matters. I think the later year 5.8s had a slightly better intake like 94-96. I think the optimal one is the lightning intake or explorer intake if you dont have lightning money

I paid $200 for my '86 Bronco XLT with 176K miles, 351W, C6 tranny , the "Captain's" seats.... Paid $100 for the truck that came with the bill of sale only, (No title) and I paid $100 to the real owner of the truck ( which after some "detective" work was latter discovered ), just to come to the local DMV with the truck tile in hand...:) Have not started working on it but I have purchased a bunch of parts that I intend to replace in order to give her life back.. The reason I decided to restore it is that the metal , frame + body are in great shape except for the tailgate which is well known to get rust at the bottom. The truck had not been driven for the past 13 years. Great video! Thanks for posting it.

Found a 1990 after about 4 years of looking for a decent one, it has the mechanical 4x4 rather than the electrical since it is the last year of the 4th gen and has the 5.8 and with only 88k miles. I didn't believe the owner when he told me I was going to see the tachometer run 88888 on my way back home I assumed it was actually 188k since it resets every 100k, yet after I bought it and checked the interior I found the previous sell deed and the user manuals, when it changed hands from Owner 1 to owner 2 mid 2000's It only had 74K miles Owner 2 bought it as a car project yet never really worked on it other than checking the engine, so those are the extra 14k miles. It's leaking everywhere I need to replace the harness because it got chewed, the paint in the hood is faded as if it was sitting parked on a barn for years but everything else is there, and it runs like heaven. Even the square carpets and the tire cover was in the back, no rust other than on the brake disks, and the carpet in the back still fluffy. Not even back in the 90s, my dad 94's was this clean.

If you plan on building up for more hp you might want to get gt40 roller heads or just get new ported heads and cam if you want giant gains. Theres a edelbrock truck manifold its 1000 bux kinda expensive or you could take your stock manifold in for a descent port job and swap out the stock throttle body with a bigger bbk. Or go all out with a holley manifold and an LS throttle body.

Losing all coffee cans, hoses, pumps other mess under hood. AFR heads, cam, Edelbrock Pro Flo. All included EFI. Much more reliable than Holley unless you’re going hard core racing.
