@metrofishing75354 ай бұрын
@@jakemike3473That is not at all what you are supposed to do. The Hookset was perfect you are supposed to set the hook against the fish to drive the hooks in. Just sometimes they don’t get hooked.
@jakemike34734 ай бұрын
@@metrofishing7535 I think in this case the fishes head was to the left so to pull against the fish he should’ve set it back to the left side instead of to the right cause he kinda pulled it away. But me personally I would’ve jumped in and landed on top of the fish and wrestled it in
@metrofishing75354 ай бұрын
@@jakemike3473 well I know which way the fishes head was turning because this is me in the clip. He didn’t get hooked because I didn’t have a top treble on my bucktail and the fish ate the bait head first. The figure 8 is such a small margin of error and everything happens very fast there is a lot you could say could be done different at the end of the day it was a cool clip just unfortunately didn’t catch the fish.

Funny thing, my bro put me on to Ndyak, which in turn put me on to you, then I put my bro on to you. We were just talking about oversized baits, when he ran out of his favorite worm in 7.5 inch. So he put on the same worm in 9.5 inch since that was what he had left. Long story short, a day of dinks turned into a solid 4.5lb bass for bro. It is on video.

@dantehoyos4284 ай бұрын
Which lake is it?
@toddwilkinson6214 ай бұрын
@@dantehoyos428I'm not sure myself. I live in a completely different part of the world. I'm just making a general observation. 🙂 Some waters I fish, the lakes have a "tea stained" water from all the tannins running in from the forests....the smallmouth bass in those lakes are a beautiful deep bronze color with golden flakes. Other clear lakes we fish the waters are bright aqua colored, like a carribean sea color, from limestone in the area and the fish there are much lighter and sharper, more pronounced patterns. It's interesting how different fish appear in various waters.
