Hi from Mexico, Jang. I love this reaction so much!!! Adagio is an exceptionally outstanding performance and one of the most recommended to reactors by Dimash followers. Only two more reactors have paid so much attention to that particular part of the video where he hits that note, one of them replayed it as well, just like you. He was so blown away. He couldn't believe it. He was just like "how does he do that?" Dimash's fame exploded after his participation in this contest, which started in January of this year, so he's "relatively" new, even though he has been winning award after award since he was 6 y/o and has had much exposure in his part of the world. But after this , it only took a few months for him to be known to this Earthly globe. He has millions of fans. His first album is being recorded and should come out before the end of the year (hopefully). Another thing, he just performed the song "Memory" from Cats on November 11th (BTW , you'll be glad to know his English has improved so much). I am hoping you do all The Singer episodes before you react to "Memory" , because there are copyright strikes going around AGAIN, because of this performance, now by another Chinese TV network, so be careful! And if you think Dimash can't surprise you further, just wait !!! Liked and Subscribed! Keep them coming, I'm only subscribed to a handful of reactors and you're one of them. You probably have already heard The Show Must Go On. If you read the history first, you will really appreciate the way Dimash sings this song. It is genius!

What I found amazing was that he struggled with English during The Show Must go on, improved with Uptfown Funk, (where the lyrics are sung much faster) and then blew everyone away with Adagio, which is not his last English song, by the way. This is a testament to how dedicated and hardworking he is. He's aware of his imperfections and where needs to improve, and he works so hard to improve. It definitely showed in this song. He has a work ethic second to none.... He learns all he can about the lyrics of whatever song he's singing, in whatever language, so that he can convey the correct emotions when he's singing. You can tell a big difference in his English in the two songs. It is my understanding he had no English skills, but had 1 week to learn the songs and for that reason alone I think he did amazingly well with the words. Give him time to refine his English and then wow....look out! Lol. He is currently working on his first album. I believe they are planning a release date in December sometime? Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He is 23 years old. 6’3”. He is performing at Chinese Talent Show called I am Singer. China selects one DARK HORSE (non Chinese resident) each year and this year Dimash was selected.. He speaks/sings in 7 languages. He plays many instruments. His Father is always there in audience or on side line. After Opera 2, at very end of his performance, you see a man doing a FIST PUMP in approval of the song...that is Dimash’s father. His mother was at one show that I saw. Very pretty lady. Dimash has grandparents, sister also. That is all I know...except that I love him and he never fails to surprise me with each performance. He came to America on November 10, 2017. You can see video of him arriving and doing some song in a studio...I think for an American Anime Movie. hope you continue to watch him and react. Thank you!

Well said! Holy note! Isn't it just a mind-blowing and heart-wrenching performance! It's nothing to do with whether the song is in English (which by the way he has improved by leaps and bounds). More like the type of song. This note is amazing not just because it's high and held long, and flips even higher. It's because Dimash sang it from the mask area (front of the face), the way pop singers do. If he produces the same note in what is commonly called a "head voice", which is produced by pushing the resonance behind the ears then up into the sphenoid sinuses, it sounds really beautiful but not as emotional. That's Dimash's genius!

Thank you Jang for reaction. At this competition Dimash reached the three first places: SOS, Opera 2 and Adagio. Most agree that Adagio was his top, which he also predicted before the show. Uptown Funk reached the sixth place and that was the worst in the whole competition. His next song is Daididau, native Kazakh song and he is singing in Kazakh language. I find this song very attractive mostly because of the music. But Dimash improved vocals of this song as well on his performance in October at the UNESCO concert in Paris. He is surprising all the time.

Hi, Jang, it's always good to hear such good comments especially from a fellow singer like yourself who understands the dedication it takes to be a performer. Now you too are caught in the 'magical spell' of this extraterrestrial singer from another planet.His range is like the equivalent of a pole vault to the sun. OK first the Good news he does an amazing version of Celine Dion's ALL BY MYSELF, the Bad news, he sings in English! but do not fear its pretty good. One of my favorite performances is a song which he has written when he was 17 it's called UNFORGETTABLE DAY have your tissues at the ready. Thanks once again for your spirited reactions. Welcome to Dimash world! Im so glad your reaction was in English. I would not be surprised if Dimash learned English at a very young age because other countries besides America require foreign languages from the very first grade in school, but idk. I know his English is still very broken, but when he needs to communicate with his chinese dears he turns to English. I'm glad to see one more dear catch the fever. There's simply no cure. it was his dream and finally he did it !! First solo concert in biggest stadium Astana Arena with capacity of 40 000 sits. The stadium was fully crowded, also for about 40 % people were from different countries -China, Germany, Franse, Russia, US, UK and others..that was unforgettable day, really !!!

Jang Amparna, @4:55 you comment "I know its English but I love it".... I want to share something with you that will help you for the rest of your life. I listen to a lot of non English songs and ever so often someone will ask me "what is he/she singing about?" and I smile and answer "what ever emotion you are feeling right now". The human voice is the most fluid of all sounds and evokes emotions from our hearts. We don't need to learn another language to enjoy the sounds from the vocal artist. Most of us love to listen to the guitar, but does it have a language? No! See what I mean? BTW, when you or me or them hears "euphoric" sounds like you @ 7:35 that we get tearful and/or cry, (side note: I love your term of "holy note", you've got it my friend) is what we need to do so we can release emotions that we can not describe and don't need to, do we?
