great color choice :D! One of steve morris's video's on the LS engine warned me off of a stroker because apparently they tend to have oiling issues unless you use a tall deck block, however ive also seen tons of people do 408 ls2's so im sure it can be done. Im pushing 440 wheel rn out of a h/c/i 6.0. Long tube headers into stock exhaust i cry, bet i can hit 450 with an OTR intake and 3" cat back!

KittyCow Yeah sadly i know about the oiling issues haha, bought the car with a blown motor. Apparently the previous owner didn't know about the oil problems haha, but going into it knowing the use oil it should be ok :)

325hpls1 Yeah, 408's are better, i was going to go 408, but when boring out the motor for the 408, you bore it out to the max, so if the motor blows, the motor is done, so i opted to go 402 juuuust in case haha, and yeah it has the T56

I say as a previous owner of a 69 GTO I was never to impressed with the looks of the new GTO I wish they would have done with it what they did with the Camero the mustang, Challenger, it just looked like a Pontiac grand am to me, I however was impressed with the powerplant under the hood, just wish it looked more GTO ish ..

jason Last You’re right. It doesn’t match at all. They did a shitty job on the decals on the trunk too. When I see shit like that it makes me wonder about the attention to detail to the mechanical work done as well.

@@thebradnoyes 9 times out of 10 paint and body was done by someone other than the mechanical portions of the car. I don't know anything about this car but I have a few projects and I can tell you that I don't anything about body work and enough about engines to do my own engine work.

I wonder what the real hp numbers are. I'm not saying it doesn't have 500 just wondering if it dynoed 500 exactly or if he's just guestimating it. I put down 786 w/ a pt-80 on my 03 cobra but if anyone asks I guess id just say 700 even though it's closer to 800. That's on 20psi so I know I could get 900+ with the right set-up but I don't think the rear end or trans for that matter would last long. I was thinking of a 75-100 shot to get me out of the hole with a little more boost cuz its a 6spd car.

Car sounds amazing but those mods really seem like overkill omg. people run the stock crankshaft past 4 digit HP numbers with big FI and forged pistons for an N/A build are something ive never seen before. Then again 500wheel out of a 6.0 means he's sure doing something right with the combo

depending on his compression ratio I'd say he's already set for FI. I'd say that's why he went with a cast iron block. those LQ9s can hold up to some boost for real. you're right though...that combo works great.

id think he was going for boost too, iron block, forged rotating assembly, but he's got pistons that INCREASE compression, plus it takes a lot of CR to make 500whp from a 6L so unless he plans on swapping pistons when he gets around to the turbo (not to mention cam and headers) i think NA was his final goal
